The return

Mission: Thunderdome
Location: Science Encampment
Timeline: Present

on:
{Science Encampment, Paarth Elion Three}

It wasn't long after the Captain, Kevin, Trace, and Geneva left that the Elionians showed back up with two stretchers. They walked closer to the Encampment and put the two stretchers down. The Elionians stretched their arms wide with the palms of their hands skyward. Some walked back into the jungle, but Igwa waited for the two females he had brought back to be picked up.

Kronnelti laying in the window looking through the binoculars, he then whistles with his two fingers getting securities attention.

Their coming back he yelled.

By prior agreement, the two male security guards moved forward to pick up the the two scientists. Rogar, the female, covered them from the shadows inside one of the outer buildings. After the guards carried the scientists back, Igwa continued to stand with his four arms crossed as if he expected something.

[ Inside... ]

Already inside the building, T'Pralik began to examine the two, while she waited for K'ner to arrive from her patrol. One looked male, the other female. It seemed that they were unconscious, probably drugged, but still breathing. The female’s left leg was bent at a weird angle, T'Pralik guessed that it was probably broken. Otherwise, there didn’t seem to be signs of much physical damage on either of them.

K'ner made a quick triage of the male to ensure that there wasn't anything life-threatening that wasn't readily visible, then turned her attention to the woman with the broken leg. K'ner was glad the woman was out of it since she only had some leaves to dull pain in her pouch, and went forward with setting the broken limb with a sickening crunch. Speaking to no one in particular, "We'll have to get her back to sickbay. It's been in a bad shape for too long to do anything now but to stabilize as best we can."

[ Outside... ]

Igwa continuing to stand where he was at but started to make a beckoning moment at Kronnelti like he was wanting the chief of security to approach.

How can I help you Mr. Igwa? as he kept lookout in the barn window

Igwa did not appear to understand Kronnelti. After a moment, he asked, **Where is the little one who speaks our tongue?**

Kronnelti sent Vay'toc a picture of Igwa who appears to be frustrated, he then sent him another message to Mira saying this one is frustrated and possibly looking for Mira thought to Vay'toc.

Vaytoc did not reply. Maybe he was too far away.

Igwa didn't wait for a response from Kronnelti. He merely said **Followed by orange skins**.

He replies the best he can by saying they'll be back soon...

They had been driving for a while once they pulled up to the encampment. Mira raised a black eyebrow at the message Vaytoc was sending her. "It would seem Igwa brought back 2 injured from the science team. He wants to speak with me."

Kevin's took hold of her arm. "Are you ok?"

Mira slowly shook her head no. "These genes, the scientists sharing technology and knowledge. These crazy people. I could go on, but I think you get my point. Alright, let's see what he wants , then I need some food."

Mira walked up to Igwa with her arms open, palms up, and then she touched her heart. In his language, she said, **"How may I help you?"**

**We found the ones that took the ones here.**Igwa told her.

**Where are they?** Mira asked.

**Grendaas horde took the Feders** Igwa told her.

Mira looked to Kevin and Kronnelti. "Seems everyone knows they are Feders. They even told them that is thier name."

Kronnelti saw the look on Mira's face and jumped down from the 15ft high window, what's wrong? he asked her

"From what we found out, the scientists have been sharing. information, skills, and they are called Feders as in the Federation? They have broken the prime directive and a war lord has them." Mira told him.

"Maybe they didn't have any choice," Trace suggested, "The Prime Directive is nice and all, but if it came to the lives of my crew, I don't think Starfleet expects us to lay down our lives to protect it."

"Whether they violated it voluntarily or not, we can't leave the scientists in the control of the warlord," Kevin countered, "Too much chance that they will be coerced to gave up more information. And our mission is to recover the team. Are we considering failing in our mission to save ourselves?"

"Our mission was to find out what happened to the scientists. We did." She sighed." It also is our job to notify starfleet that the prime directive was broken. It's their job to handle the rest. This is when my conscience comes into play again. Going after them will have to be a volunteery choice for the crew. I will not force them. But I can't leave them."

Trace and Geneva exchanged glances. “We’re in.” Trace said, and Geneva nodded in agreement.

Trace couldn’t explain it, but he and the science officer had grown close over the last several days, close enough that they knew what the other was thinking. Trace didn’t believe in fate, but if it existed, he felt like this was it. He didn't know if she felt the same, but he couldn't deny it. He wasn't sure what that meant for him. If they were to be just close friends, he'd be perfectly happy with that.

"You are the Captain," Lockhart, one of the security guards said, "You give the order and I will follow through."

"Me too, Captain," the other security guard acknowledged. Rogar was her name, Kevin remembered. Newly assigned to the Chuck Norris, she was young and looked like she should be anything else but a Starfleet security guard.

"You know my answer captain." said Kronnelti, "but I also know you'd have me on that ship instead of being on the front line."

"So with that said if this gets me in trouble then so be it," he said as he goes and sits down in the barn.

T'Pralik, who'd after having made sure the scientists were in no major danger, had quietly come back out, and had been hovering in the background when she added "I must agree with the others on this captain. According to Starfleet regulation, your word is final," She stated, swallowing loudly.

Looking out from the doorway as Mira's gaze worked the group, K'ner's nod was her confirmation.

Mira sighed she turned to Kevin. "Find out if anyone wants to go back to the ship. The scientists should go. I need to see what's going on in Kronnelti’s mixed up head." With that, she walked after her security chief.

Finding him sitting in the barn, Mira sits on what looked like a bale of hay. "Why would you think I would send you back to the ship? I only wanted everyone to decide what they wanted to do. This is a dangerous plan we are putting together."

"One, I told my mate that I would return, if I go into a fight I may not return," he said.

Mira rested her hands on her knees. "This is why I asked. This goes beyond the duty we set out for. I'll be sending a few of the team members back to the ship with the injured. They will need protection on the way to the pickup point. You could go back with them, then if things go south here, pull our butts out. Or you could assign Rogar to take them. It's up to you, brother. Your decision is your own and It will not change my opinion of you."

"I always knew you were the smart one," he chuckled. "Meet me at the armory," he said as he gets up and heads right to it.

{Armory}

Mira was very taken back as to why there were so many weapons left? Did the horde have so many that they didn't need them? She would have thought this place would be picked clean by now. Picking up a few more blades she added them for her personal use. When they had come down, she hadn't planned on combat.

As he's grabbing a shot gun, two pistols and a rifle with a lot of ammo he yells out " this was supposed to be a cake walk but NOOOO we have to fight a f*kn warlord."

"Get those who are coming and rack up," he said.

"We're doing it my way, quiet and watch where you step, try not to make any noise," he said.

Mira laughed at Kronnelti. "Take it easy, big guy. First, we have to check out the camp. I still want us all to go home."

Upon further inspection, Kronnelti found a semi-hidden crate, pulls it out, and opens it up. "Mira you and Kevin might want to take a look at this as well," as he pulls up a grenade. "It looks like our scientists have been doing more than what they should have!"

"Well, we might need them," Mira tells him with a raised eyebrow. what were these scientists up to?

T'Pralik came in behind them, and gingerly picked up a semi-automatic rifle, weighing it in her hands. She was vaguely aware how to use it, and she was for the first time beginning to understand why Starfleet had taught such things during basic training. "Captain. If the scientists are going back to the ship, I request to go with them. When they wake up, all this," she gestured at the massive armory they were in, "points to them possibly being in a very erratic state. We will need them to cooperate to help find the others, and understand what they're actually doing here." She stood tall, hoping to look like she knew what she was doing, and not like she was trying to get off the planet for her own safety.

Mira nodded, understanding the counselor's reasons. "That seems like a very good plan, Doc. Stay with the scientists, but be careful. We don't know their frame of mind right now. For all we know, they could be dangerous. More than likely, Lieutenant Commander Tourik Murphy will want to join you."

She turned back to Kronnelti. "You know you can only bring what you can carry, right? You will be walking a long distance. Better talk to Kevin about checking out this guy's compound first. It's possible we might need things from the ship."

He looks at all the weapons then says, "I'd like my phaser rifle more to be honest, if this Lord is that hostile," he said.

"At least with a phaser we can set it to stun."

Mira nodded, "I can understand that but if they get their hands on it." She shook her head thinking of how bad that would be. "I wonder if we can make our weapons look like theirs? With a setting so only we could use them?"

Looking at the different styles of guns and studying each one intricately.

Seeing that it's very obsolete he takes the shotgun and pulls it apart, then puts it back several times getting to know it further.

"Mira let me work on this in their lab, give me a half hour, an hour tops, and I'll have something for you he said."

Mira nodded, "but be quick," she said.

He went off to the lab putting the gun down and taking it apart. He grabbed some metal cutting tools, wire, and a basic fingerprint scanner and a switch.

He works quietly but quick. 45 minutes later he comes out with an upgraded shotgun that has his bio signature on the print.

"Ok, here is the switch that sets it to fire or not, and this print activates the gun."

He takes it and places his thumb on the print then flips the switch and pulls the trigger as it fires into the dirt. "I also bored the barrel and I'll forge a better projectile."

"It'll take a bit but we'll have the advantage. Anybody that has a rifle I can make a scope for long range firing."

Mira nodded. She had thought he would have to do all that on the ship. "Good work." She patted his arm. "I wonder how stable the grenades are? They would make a great distraction."

"I took one apart as well up in the barn, I got bored," he said. "They're stable now," he said, "same thing as the gun, just put your print on the thing and throw because it's a quick fuse." He shows her the halved grenade. "This one is unstable," as he points out the flaws. "This won't go off."

Kevin walked in from the encampment's mess hall. "They don't have any replicators," he stated, "Does anyone know how to cook?"

Mira raised her hand "Meat on an open grill been doing it for years. I can make soup too."

"I'll cut some onions to go with that," Kronnelti said.

[ Perimeter ]

Seeing all the domestic activity in hand, K'ner decides to backtrack the Elionians again to make sure they weren't lurking. They took the same path out that they came in on. They either weren't trying to hide their tracks, or, more likely, had a nasty surprise in store for anyone ambling along their trail, so she didn't delve into it too far.

Satisfied with that, she worked her way back to the encampment, working in and out from the edge to a short distance out, not trusting of the other local species either. When she came close in, she would nod at someone, then motion her intent to circle around some more and pull back into cover. Occasionally checking her wraps, she appreciated some of the local flora and fauna, taking a sample here and there but otherwise was mindful of her surroundings. She would know if something changed by the shift in the feel and sounds around them. She smiled just a bit, thinking this would be a good intro for Billingsly... maybe...
