Ashla had been cleaned and fed. Her father had taken her to the great Hall to proclaim his new child to the whole clan.
Mira was tired and decided resting was more important then the merriment going on outside.
Kolar sat on the bed watching her.
"What is it, kolar? Our love for you hasn't changed." Mira gave him a sleepy smile.

"Will she be with us, then we wake up?" Kolar asked in a whispered voice.

Mira frowned. "Of course she will be here in the morning."

"When everything changes will she be here? will she come with us." Kolar asked her.

There were times like now. Mira was sure she was missing something very important "She will be with us always. Now come huge me then see if you can get Zimia or Deanna to get me another piece of the fruit pie."

He hugged her and then ran off to see if he could get what she had asked for.

Awol entered. "My niece is beautiful." He leaned down and kissed her forehead. "How are you feeling?"

"Tired. The woman who helped me?" At his nodded, she continued."I would have died if she had not come. Ashla was in the wrong position she said. I own her a life debt."

Awol chuckled but nodded.

"have we found out who and why we were attacked?" Mira asked him

"No you rest and let us figure that out ok?"Awal told her

"Got it, Mama." Kolar giggled carrying the pie in.

Mira wanted to laugh. He had just taken the whole pie.

Kevin entered just as Awal was leaving.

Awal gave Kevin a warriors shake, she's beautiful he said.

"That is none of my doing, I am quite sure," Kevin replied ruefully as he shook his hand to restore the blood flow after Awal's grip.

Kevin looked to Mira holding the pie that Kolar had brought her. "I'll trade you," he offered indicating the baby in his arms.

Mira raised an eyebrow and then looked at Kolar as a smile tugging at her lips. "Your daddy wants the pie you brought me. What do you think? Should I trade?"

Kolar looked over at his father "now does she smell?"

Mira laughed, " Ah, so one stinky baby who is probably hungry again for this amazing pie? That's not really a good trade, husband."

Kolar giggled as his mom titled her head back for the kiss Kevin was giving her. "Now that is a better trade." she whispered.
She handed the pie to kolar as she took the baby. Such big blue eyes stared back at her "Hi my sweet little girl. Did you get to meet everyone in the clan?"
Kevin set next her, with his back against the headboard. "I told you that it would be a girl. "
Mira nodded as she snuggled close to him. Both him and Kolar had been saying that.

Kolar climbed up to hug his father. "we get to keep her? I am the big brother, so she is my baby girl."
Mira chuckled. "Our baby girl."
