Back from death

As Kronnelti flat-lined, K'ner ran to him, her team all started the procedure to stabilize him.

Tense moments while he lay on the bio bed getting stabilized until he started coughing again, successful!

She started all procedures to clear his body of the toxins. Looking over at Mira's gaze, K'ner gave her a thumbs up.

Mira sighed in relief when she heard the heart monitor beeping normal again that had been to close. If the crew hadn't found them when they did Kronnelti wouldn't be alive. She had taken a few sips of the water just to keep herself going and relying on her symbiont to keep her memories safe.

K'ner let her people work, stepping back to monitor overall. The labs finally came back on the air and water samples and gave them a much better idea of what they were up against. K'ner managed to relax a bit and as she reported the update to the XO, she gave Mira a nod as she listened in.

Mira nodded as K'ner gave the report to Kevin. He had all the facts that she knew to make his decision. She laid her head back. It was time for her to heal and get back on her feet.

Kronnelti was in good hands and responding to the treatment as was she. They would get back to their time.

A few hours went by and Kronnelti finally woke up, still coughing but no blood.

Trying to open his eyes but can't, where am I? He asked.

K'ner responded, "You are in sickbay aboard the 'Norris. You have been inhaling toxic air, and in return it eventually killed you. Mira drank their water so the toxicity didn't affect her as bad but there are other unwanted side effects to that, as you may already know. Right now you'll have some discomfort with muscle fatigue, some pressure in your chest, along with swelling in your throat, so no war cries for a couple of days if possible."

K'ner glanced over at Mira to see if she was awake and listening and then looked back at Awal, continuing to update her assessment. "What do you remember?"

Everything Lt said the chief.

I watched our captain disappear on some type of pad similar to ours.

I then proceeded to chase after her and was successful as their " protector " sent me there.

I was offered water but I refused and went off looking for Mira, I eventually found her dancing to music drinking that same water that was offered to me.

As I took her they chased me threatening to spray me with that water but I was successful in evading them.

I started coughing I didn't know why but I ignored it.

I was seen trying to leave and so the people started to spray the water but I destroyed their equipment with my phaser several times.

I eventually passed out and woke up in their jail cell with Mira. We eventually escaped to the woods, that's where I made our camp, we then hunted to keep ourselves from starving.

It was only a few hours later is when I saw your team and made those smoke signals said Kronnelti.

K'ner nodded. "Sounds like a complete sequence. There seemed to be considerable risk from wildlife outside the cities, but other than tracks we didn't encounter any, and weren't interested enough to stick around. Hopefully we can get a timeslip back to our own place, we still have some people on the ground in that cave keeping the temporal dude honest."

K'ner didn't reveal Mira's thoughts. If she wanted to include the offlined Chief, she would no doubt bring him up to speed while they were comfortable-ish, and couldn't go anywhere for the moment.

He ( starts coughing ) I know you can hear me, I'm no quieter! I looked death in the eyes and he feared me. Said Kronnelti

Now I hear I have a surprise waiting for me? He asked

"You died 2 times on me. Death didn't fear you he just couldn't keep you." Mira moved to get more comfortable. Her eyes were killing her so she kept them closed.

K'ner waited as the twosome stewed. She knew both of them were itching to get up and get back to it, but conditions warranted the downtime at the moment.

She leaned over to Awal and spoke quietly. "Hey Chief. Let me know when you're ready. There's two ladies that would like to check in. One is fretting a little bit but I wasn't graphic in your adventures, you can tell her what you need her to know. As for the other one, she's healthy and responsive."

Kronnelti was finally able to open his eyes, his vision was blurry but came back to him as he saw K'ner. Send them in please, as he sat up on the bio bed.

K'ner went and got his wife.

Dianna walked in holding baby Venus, Awal couldn't believe his eyes. He looked at Dianna...when did you birth?

While you were down on that planet said Dianna.

Baby Venus reached for Kronnelti, he took her in and held her. She's heavy what's her weight?

6lbs 8oz she said. He smiled daddy's back.

He hands her back to Dianna, he jestured to Mira and she went over to her letting her see baby Venus.

"Oh she is so beautiful" Mira told as she her fingertips brushed over the little cheeks.

K'ner didn't get to deal with bairns much, but she stood back to observe the ritual, as interested in the crew she knew, as the new ones she didn't.

Zimia came sneaking in with Kolar "is it ok?" She asked K'ner.

Kolar took one look and started yelling "ma ma ma ma ma." His little arms out stretched.
Mira smiled as she held her arms out to him "there is my big boy." Mira had been so worried she would never see him again. Her eyes wandered over his whole face. Then she kissed his little cheek. "Ma ma missed you." She hugged him.
"Thank you Zimia I know that was alot longer then we thought."
Zimia nodded "he is alot of fun."
