Mira paced the room, feeling trapped. “Verad, What can these tags do Besides keep track of us?"

Verad took a seat. “Well, if we leave the Biome they can send us back. I remember my father talking to one of the others about it."

Mira froze. "So, even if I make out of the biome they could just send me back? Did they do that to all they creatures? "

He shook his head no, " We were the only trouble makers that I know of." he laughed looking proud at the thought.

Mira grinned with him. "I need you to dig the tag out, Verad. I can't risk them sending me back." she pulled a knife from the drawer. "if you don't help, I'll do it myself. And since I can't see what I'm doing I'll probably make a mess of it." she toss the blade up in the air catching it by the handle.

Verad groaned. "So reckless. How are you going to defend yourself with a bandaged arm?"

Mira cocked her head to the side, "What good is it to escape if they can just bring me back? I can deal with pain. I can’t deal with being a prisoner."

Verad could see there was no reasoning with her so he went to get some disinfectant. "Fine. This is going to hurt."
Mira nodded hopping on the table. She, then, held out her arm.

Verad poured the disinfectant on her arm and the blade. "Are you sure you are ready?”

Mira rolled her eyes, "Just do it......please"

She winced as the blade cut, but she clamped down on the need to scream. That wouldn't help in this situation at all.

Verad cleaned and bandaged the cut. "I had to go deeper than I would have liked, but it's out. Now, what are you going to do?"

Mira winced as she moved her arm. " Try to get past the keepers. I have no idea what they did with my combadge or suit." She looked at the black kaftan she was wearing and her bare feet. "Hopefully, the next Biome isn't hostile. " she picked up the knife."Mind if I take this?"

He smiled, "Of course you can. What about food or water?"

She thought about it and then shook her head no. giving him a kiss on the cheek, she went out the window hoping to throw them off her trail.

Moving as quickly and quietly as she could, she could hear movement behind her. Mira cursed as a hard, scaly arm wrapped around her and lifted her off the ground. "You son of targ put me down." Mira struggling, but seeing as there were three of them, even if she got down those lizard pets, didn't look too friendly she curled her legs up under her to keep from being bitten.

After docking Kronnelti found a way outside of the Chuck norris and back into the first room on Eden, alarms still going off he heard hissing and other types of mumbling from the lizardmen.

He was able to get to the viewing biome it took a bit but he found the village where Mira was.

Rather than a response over the comm badge, Kronnelti heard the familiar tingling sound of a transporter beam. He turned to the noise as Kevin finished materializing in the room. "Captain's back on the bridge," he explained as he inserted an energy pack into his phaser rifle and locked it home, " Let's link up with Walker and bring our girl back."

Yes sir said Kronnelti, he pointed to the biome where Mira is. They also have a patrol with what looks like lizard muts he stated, how do you want to do this Kronnelti asked

Just before Kevin can respond Kronnelti starts saying no no no no no shit why did you do that he yells then he yells they have her!

[Outside the Trill Biome]

Geneva and the Linguist had just finished typing in commands to a console on the door when the Security Office shouted from down the corridor. "Halt in the name of Starfleet."

"Crap." Trace complained, then headed down the corridor. "Do not enter without us." He ordered over his shoulder.

He rounded the corner and came face to face with a large, angry Klingon.

"Kronnelti." He stated with some relief, Commander." He said, acknowledging Lance. "This way, we just gained entry into the biome."

"Lieutenant Kronnelti, you take point," Kevin ordered. He didn't want to be between an anger fueled Klingon and his quarry. As the security chief went charging into the biome, Kevin and the other crewmembers followed.

Taking lead he had set his rifle to stun, he closed the distance between him and Mira then taking aim. He dropped two lizardmen and two of the muts, as he is getting closer he had no choice but go hand to hand combat.

Kronnelti has never fought a lizard before but it's a first, he didn't expect them to be quick but rage filled his eyes. No matter how hard they hit him it didn't effect him once, jargin with hissing and barks more lizardmen were called but that didn't stop the Klingon.

Kronnelti called for Mira to run for it but not really remembering who he was she ran scared away from him towards Kevin.

The fighting started so quickly that she wasn't sure what happened, and then she was tossed as the lizardmen holding her joined in the fight.

Landing in a crouch, Mira heard someone say run. She saw Kronnelti fighting, and then she saw Kevin.

It had been easy to pick out Mira amongst the reptilian humanoid. Kevin switched his rifle's selector to rapid pulse to provide suppressive fire. Between his suppression and Kronnelti's deadly shots, they cleared a path for Mira.

She ran to him and jumped into his arms, wrapping her one good arm around Kevin neck. "You came!" She wiped tears from her eyes.

Dropping his rifle, Kevin caught Mira in both arms. "I will always come for you," he replied. He adjusted his left arm to securely cradle Mira and picked up his rifle from where it hung on its body sling. Continuing to fire wildly with one hand, he slowly walked back toward the entrance to the biome.

Drawing his phaser Kronnelti kept dropping the lizards one by one.

He looks back go go go get out of here yelled Kronnelti.

"Cover me!" Kevin shouted to Walker's team. The Chief Engineer and the science team laid down withering shots from rifle and hand phaser.

Moments later everybody got energized back onto the Chuck Norris, Lance and Mira appeared outside medical.

Still in Kevin's arms Mira looking into his eyes and his into her's a moment happened both of their emotions bloomed a spark if a passionate kiss.

"I told them you and Kronnelti would come for me. " She smiled. Knowing she had a report to make but needing these few moments. Kevin held her tight, not caring one jot for any impropriety for so public a display of affection between a senior and subordinate officers.

Kronnelti ran to Dianna and gave her a hug along with a kiss, are you ok honey? He asked

Yes I am, thanks to Zimia and her crew mates plus Vay'toc and Spike for keeping me calm. I really was scared she said.

It's all right now I'm here he said.

I'll be right back I need to check on my sis he said, yes please do, now I see why you call her your sister, you see her as family first and crew second.

Tell her that I'm alright and I'm not hurt, Kronnelti nods.

A few minutes later he came up on them while Mira was still in Kevin's arms.

He stood silent letting them enjoy the moment.

Mira smiled, her hand touched Kevin's face. " That ship has to be put under someone control. It's been programmed to collect, and it hasn't stopped. It took Trills a few 100 years ago, and since they couldn't escape, they let themselves die out. There are 5 Trills left and 42 symbionts. Trill will want them back. What happened when it passes and inhabited planet? Is everyone OK here?"

Kevin gently placed Mira on her feet as Ensign Murphy rushed in to treat her injured arm. Kevin belatedly began the process of clearing his weapon by removing the battery pack. "I would assume that if the ship encounters an inhabited planet," he answered, "that it will try to harvest any unique lifeforms that it encounters. Based on current course and speed, it won't encounter an inhabited star system for another 35 years, so we have some time."

"Oh, by all that is holy good." Mira was relieved.
Ensign Murphy frowned. "For heavens sake, Commander, what did you do to your arm?"

Mira's hand went to her chest and looked all innocent. "I didn't do anything. ......" Seeing the expression on the nurse face hadn't changed. Mira rolled her eyes. "WE had to dig out the tag, or they would have beamed me right back to the village. At least I was the only one taken."

Murphy shook her head no. " A good part of the crew was taken to."

Mira's eyes went to Kronnelti and then Kevin,"but you got them back, right?"
Kevin nodded, bringing a smile to her face. "Thank you." Mira told them
