Mira tapped her fingers on the table as she sat outside on the deck. Why was it taking Larry so long to report back in. She stood up with a frown and started to pace back and forth. Tapping her commbadge “Rodale to USS Chuck Norris Where is Ensign Larry?”
=/\= “Following a lead on our missing Ensigns, commander.” =/\=
She waited a moment and then said, “Beam Vaytoc and myself to him right now.”
{ Venus bar, Risa}
Mira and Vaytoc appeared in an alley alongside the bar. “What have you found?” she asked as soon as she saw Larry.
Ensign Larry pulled some clothes from a trash can. “One has blood on it.”
“Who’s?” Mira asked him.
“Rodriguez.”
Mira nodded. “Makes sense. He would be harder to control.” She took both shirts and let Vaytoc smell them. “Find them, Vaytoc.”
He lowered his head, smelling the ground. Mira let Larry take the lead since he had a weapon. After too long of a walk, he opened a door, and he walked in. "I am picking up lifeforms, human, 2 males.” He said as he looked at a tricorder.
In a storage basement, Larry found Rodriguez and Chin tied up and out cold. “They’re still alive. My guess is that they went off with someone and got robbed. They probably were mad because we don’t carry anything of value on us.”
Mira nodded. “What about Ensign Sel’uk and nurse Nim Murphy?”
“Found them first. Both are fine.” Larry told her.
Mira was relieved. ”Let’s get them to medical. Once they are released from sickbay. Let them know they are confided to the ship and are to return to duty rotation.”
Ensign Larry nodded. “ I am assuming they are in trouble?”
Mira nodded. “I told them to stay together. That wasn’t a suggestion, it was an order. This wouldn’t have happened if they had done as ordered. They, also, left Zimia on her own.”
Larry nodded.
Mira walked slowly back to her hut with Vaytoc by her side.
