Mission: Not Where I Belong
Location: U.S.S. Chuck Norris
Timeline: Current

OFF: Hey everyone, I wanted to try and pull everyone into a post, so this is my attempt on that. This is going to be the briefing and start to our attempt to rescue Axelrod.

ON: (U.S.S. Chuck Norris - Shuttle Bay)

The somewhat larger task force was now standing, huddled around each other in the shuttle bay. The bay was not that large to begin with, and now with the two Hazard team shuttles, plus the 16 strong landing party, there wasn't a lot of room to move. The doors to the shuttle bay opened and as attention was drawn to the front door one by one by each other, the room felt silent. The sound of boots hitting the deck echoes through the walls and Captain Winters stood in front over everyone. Armor was now covering his body as well. From first glance, it could be seen as Hazard Team armor, but looked older, and almost like it should be out of date.
It was at this time that Commander Pibb finally pieced together a little bit more of the puzzle that was their Commanding officer.

"You? You were on a Hazard team as well?" Pibb asked, scanning the man up and down.

"Back in my more prime days, yes." Winters could see that everyone wanted a little more of a backstory, but there was not much time for that. "Look, I'll be glad to answer some of your questions at a later time, but this is not the place for it."

"That's mark 2 armor..." Commander G'ginloss added, "That stuff hasn't been used in over 8 years."

"9 actually." Winters retorted back as he adjusted he left shoulder buckle. "Some would say this was the best they made, and after this, it just became a little... generic. Present company excluded." The Captain did note that the Chuck Norris's hazard team had custom made armor as well.

"Captain..." Winters could hear the tone in his First Officers voice, he turned his head which made the Klingon stop.

"I know what you're going to say, but this is the Captain's prerogative. I don't know where this will head, but I am not sending any of my crew somewhere I would not go. I will lead the recon team on the frontal assault. Commander Pibb, you will take in Bravo Team and rescue Axelrod, we need him alive."

Xun Wu Sophmore Cadet somehow ended up on a tactical mission as an acting combat medic he was still trying to figure out how he got talked into this but anything is better than a shift in sickbay, "Be safe out there," He could hear his Twin brother say as he helped him on with the armour as they shared a room besides he was petrified abut going on this mission.

Steven Wright stood towards the edge of the room triple-checking his armor and phaser. He miraculously only had a single PADD on him, though hardpacks on his waist and the small of his back were stuffed with various tech adapters, storage devices and some signal boosters, just in case. As he finished his gear check, he overheard the Wu twins.
Stepping closer, he kept an ear on the command staff. "Xun, right?" he asked offering his hand to the medical cadet. "Lieutenant Junior Grade Steven Wright, Encryption Specialist onboard, and newest addition to Hazard Team. Tech and computer focus, but just as capable as the rest. I'll keep an eye out for you out there, and so will everyone else. We're not losing anyone we don't have to today.

"I may not have to like you being on this mission, however in this case, it would be best having you with us captain." G'ginloss replied. "However you will not be without Klingon protection. Seeing how it would be unwise for me to accompany you, should anything happen, Kronnelti shall join your team. Seeing as he is security upon this vessel. G'odoss, you shall accompany Commander Pibb. Enter the facility and ensure Axelrod is retrieved alive." Commander G'ginloss took a moment to gather his breath and thoughts.

"I shall head the distraction team, drawing the enemies fire should they be alerted to our presence. We will set down in an overwatch position to assist in the stealth of this mission. Once we lose the element of surprise we will attempt to draw all enemies to our location. Unless, Captain, you have a better plan?" G'ginloss adds almost as an afterthought.

"Well first Commander, you won't be accompanying us on this mission. I need someone to make sure that the Chuck Norris stays in one piece. We will need a pick up, and I am sure it will a quick exit. If it goes sideways, I also need someone to report what has happened here. I know our subspace communications are spotty right now, and if we need to the full force of the fleet, we will need it." Winters addressed his First Officer, and then came in a little closer for only the two men to hear each other. "If someone does goes sideway, get out of here. Don't hesitate. We are alone right now and almost half of the crew is coming with me. We aren't in a good enough spot for a ground and space battle. We will figure our own exit plan. Don't risk the crew or the ship." Commander G'ginloss nodded in agreement, begrudgingly.

"Do not think for a moment though, that any team will have no chance of fighting, keep it quick, keep it smooth. Those of us who return shall celebrate the deaths of our enemies, and feast for those who begin their travel to Što-vo-kor. For today is a good day to die. However, no one has permission to enter the realms of the afterlife this day." G'odoss added in his best way to rally the troops.

Ensign Keegan was mostly quiet, as he was waiting for his orders, which he presumed that he would be in charge of engineering, while the XO was in command, and the 2XO, on the surface. Jack figured in this case, engineering would be more important to look over, as they wouldn't be moving as much. However, if he was needed on the bridge, he would be there in an instant. But, he waited for his orders.

Without a harder look, Douglas looked fine. However, he is rattled. His medication slowly depleting as time went on, might not even have enough to finish the mission. On top of that, his... dreams? no. Whatever they are, they seem to be acting during his conscious time as well. Seeing his... memory? lightly hazed over reality, as if they were almost in synch. His liquid metal adding as an undetected, second armor, in the clothed area. If they think he's going to trust Starfleet tech, they've got another thing coming. However, his right hand is ready to grab their phaser on his waist, the second he has enough room to. Their rifles are too bulky and get in the way. He winces.

=/\= Bridge to the Captain =/\=

"Winters here, go ahead."

=/\= We are just entering the Star system now, will arrive in orbit in 5 minutes. Informing you as requested. =/\=

"Thank you bridge, right, then lets get this settled quick. Commander Pibb, you will take G'odoss, Cadet Wu, Lt. Collier, Ensigns Chip and Wolfpaws, Lieutenant Wright and one security officer. Take the second shuttle down to the location marked on your HUD. Close enough to make your approach on foot, but far enough they it should stay out of sensor range."

"Captain, might we be of some assistance." A voice called out. As the eyes swing back to see who was speaking, they also drifted up. Somehow the very large reptile of a man had not been seen by most of the crew. As the assistant Chief science officer, he has spent most of his days in the lab, and most of his nights in his quarters.

"Ensign Djon, are you sure? This isn't your typical assignment." Winters replied back.

"We are sure." Djon smiled as Cadet Squeazal stood looking very proud on his shoulder.

"Then the two of you are with me. Ensign Kronnelti, Lt. Wynonna, Ensign Torrel and my security detail as well. If you haven't heard your name you're staying on the ship."

"Be safe out their gentlemen, you are coming back from this mission whether you like it or not. To everyone staying on the ship, you all are assigned to your respective posts. Keegan, keep those engines ready for anything we might need them for. I imagine they will be taxed harder this mission then our last." G'ginloss said as he began ensuring everyone was busy, and the ship was ready for anything.

"Captian, Što-vo-kor is not your fate this day, see to that."

"Warriors! WHAT IS YOUR PROFESSION!"

An eruption of hoots could be heard In reply from those in the room as everyone began to disperse to their assignments.

Except for Xun Wu, he really didn't make any sound after the announcement was finished he felt speeches were pointless reminded him of the gymnastics competitions back at the Academy his brother always dragged him to where he was studying or not.

Winters knew he had done his job. He had sized up his officers, judged their strengths and weaknesses and split them into the best teams that he could plan for. His Klingons had done the rest he needed. A rousing speech, even if cliché at best, was going to be the best way to rally the troops. With one final gaze around the room, he met the eyes of each of his officers, giving them his confidence and reassurance. He knew that if any of his crew saw doubt or hesitation in him, it would be as close to a death sentence as anyone could every get. With a slight exhale under his breath he did what he needed to do. A slight nod was all it took for the relief to set in as everyone now entered their assigned shuttles. With great haste each officer found their seat, stowed their gear and fastened their restraint harnesses. Most shuttles did not come with such features, but with what Hazard teams had to do, it was a good feature to have.
The Captain was the last one to enter, and he looked back at his First Officer as the door the shuttle closed, another slight nod and a small thumbs ups and the doors to each shuttle were locked. Aurther made his way to the front of the shuttle, and small walk, but felt like eternity. With a gentle thud he took his seat and spun to face the control panel. Wynonna had already fun the preflight checks and had the shuttle ready to go on the Captain's mark. They Chuck Norris had not reached the proper orbit yet, so for now, the away teams waited.
