{Bridge}

Tessa had been monitoring the situation in sickbay with great interest. It seemed that a ’man out of time’ had come through some sort of space-time anomaly and had appeared in the Chuck’s cargo-bay. She’d seen stranger things in her fifteen-year career, but this incident appeared particularly strange.

The situation with the Romulans and Axelrod was being handled by the other senior staff, so Tessa had plenty of time to do some investigations of her own about this mystery man. She was no security or science officer, but perhaps now would be the perfect time to speak to this man and investigate his appearance.

Excusing herself from the bridge while logging out of her console, Tessa entered the turbo lift and made her way to sickbay.

{Sickbay}

Tessa entered the small area and instantly saw the two burly security personnel flanking the mysterious man. She gave them both a polite nod and approached the man that was lying on the bio-bed. “I’m Lieutenant Tessa Riley, Chief Operations Officer.” She introduced herself with authority. “Can you tell me your name?”

The man roused and lifted his head off the pillow. He was clearly still incredibly fatigued. “Everson.” He managed to speak, “Lieutenant Junior Grade Stellan Everson.”

Tessa frowned. That was a name she recognised, but she wasn’t sure where from. “Are you from Sweden?” She asked, recognising the accent of a fellow Swede.

Stellan nodded slightly, “Yes. Uppsala, in the south-east of the country.”

“Uppsala?” Tessa was surprised by this answer. She herself had been born and raised in Uppsala. It was rare to find another Swede in Starfleet, let alone one that hailed from the same city as you. “I’m from Uppsala too.” She explained.

Stellan’s eyes became brighter, “You’re kidding? Which area?”

“Fjärdingen, near the castle.” Tessa answered.

Stellan’s head returned to the pillow and he started laughing in disbelief, “I’m from that area too. My brother was a tailor on Gropgränd street.”

Riley finally realised where she recognised the name from. Everson’s Tailors was a prominent shop in Fjärdingen, and one that her family had used many times. The coincidence was incredible. She smiled warmly at the man, “Try and rest some more, Stellan.” She placed a hand on his shoulder to offer some reassurance, “We’ll find out what brought you here and why.”

She looked at the security personnel and nodded again before departing. This mystery had just become a whole lot more personal to her.
