ON

Doing one last check of everything happening at the moment, Wright turned and strode off in search of Chief Pibb. The man's a betazoid, Wright thought to himself, but not a counselor, so he should be safe.

Winters mind had been playing through all of the scenarios in his head. The day that he and the Chuck Norris had run into Axelrod, and let him go, even though he was wanted still nagged in the back of his mind. He had to shake it off though, as past mistakes would only cause self doubt, and that is a deadly combination from a Starfleet Captain to have. He nodded at a few crewmembers as he made his way through the small ship, to the turbolift, and then back to deck 1. There were two places he could go. To his quarters where he could find solitude and peace, or back to the bridge to deal with the issues at hand. He knew where he wanted to go, to let his mind try to find some peace, however his feet knew where to take him.
As he neared the bridge entrance, he noticed a new face approaching him. Not seemingly walking to him, just in his direction, almost like the man himself was on a mission. The two locked eyes, and Aurther took the moment to meet this new transfer in.

"Lieutenant...?" He asked and trailed off, assuming that the new officer would introduce himself.

"Junior Grade Steven Wright, Encryption Specialist.
Though I'm beginning to wonder if I'm a whole department." Wright responded coming to a halt as his eyes flicked past the Captain's rank insignia. "Sir."

Winters gave a sort of little half laugh at the mans observation. "We are a small ship, and you will find that the majority of departments here are run by usually a handful of officers. You and Lt. Wyatt are the senior officers, with a just a few others to assist. You will also find that a lot of the crew here is also wearing multiple, hats, so to speak. Usually one's department colors do not speak to their full role. I haven't had a chance to review your file yet Mr. Wright, but if you've been assigned to the Chuck Norris, you are must be one of the best and brightest, and I can use your help more than ever right now."

"Happy to be here Sir," Wright replied curtly. "And that's quite alright, I work better with a small team or alone. I'm already monitoring active sensors and comms, reviewing the science team's findings, and I believe I'm caught up on our mission. Seeking a mystery ship that while it appears to be a pirate, does not behave like one."
"Since everyone's already wearing multiple hats, and that's where I was going when you caught me, this seems like a good time to request approval, to join Liutenant Pibb's Hazard Team. I think I'd be a good fit for a Computer Specialist role, Captain," Wright continued. I want to do anything I can do to help, and my need for physical activity could be better met than standing at a station."

Just moments later Chief Ryoko walked by the two gentlemen. "Good morning Captain, Lieutenant." As he pass the two in the passageway, while the Kelpien nodding to them both. He was dressed in Hazard gear as if he was off to train.

"Good morning to you, Chief Ryoko," Wright said back quickly, as he moved to keep pace, looking to the Captain for permission to depart. "You look like you're prepped for Hazard Ops."

"Why yes. Actually. I'm enroute for a training exercise. Pibb has...what he calls a. Virtual Reality training simulator. I have yet to see this new contraption of his." As the chief extended his hand. " forgive my manners and, who might you be Lieutenant?"

Taking Ryoko's hand firmly, but not firmly enough to start a contest, Wright replied. "Steven Wright, just assigned to the Chuck Norris as an Encryption Specialist. That doesn't meet my need for physical duty, so I'm hoping to join the first Hazard Team I've heard of."

Down in the shuttle bay Balen was showing the Hazard Team the new Virtual Reality trainer. "As you can see it's similar in many ways to a holodeck but, its not. The track on the floor is attached to the gimbal and moves with you as you would in real life. Couple that with the sensors and helmet. You'll be immersed in a virtual world to train in. Any questions? Ahh, yes, the I see the Chief has brought the Captain to see it first hand."

Ryoko looked over the two simulators and computer stations as he entered. He shook his head. "Balen. You never cease to amaze me."

Walking in behind Ryoko and the Captain, Wright took in the two machines, wondering how much those sensors were going to find out.
