{USS Chuck Norris, Bridge}
Mira took a deep breath, then let it out. Her eyes moved over the bridge crew. The expressions on their faces varied and some she couldn't read at all. They had completed their mission but at great cost. Ambassador Spock, Romulaus, Remus, and any ship in the area that had been destroyed. She hoped all of Thor's ships had not been caught in the blast.
Tapping her commbadge, she spoke gently and calmly to inform the crew as to what just happened.
"To all crew, this is the Captain speaking. The Romulan sun went supernova before the predicted time. Ambassador Spock was able to complete the mission by collapsing the supernova, but not before both Romulaus and Remus were destroyed."
Mira wiped a tear from her eye. So much life lost. "After warning us away, Ambassador Spock changed course and was taken aboard the Romulan ship called the Narada by Captain Nero. They re-entered the black hole while we were escaping, the pull of the black hole. I need you all to work together and get us back to federation space."
Mira tapped her commbadge, ending the message before she got mushy on the crew, but she was proud of each and every one of them. She turned towards Kevin. "With the ship damaged, there isn't much more help we can give. Best speed to Beta Antares for repairs. Whatever distress calls we encounter along the way, we stop and help."
Her fingertips rubbed her forehead as she tried to work out a list of things she should do first. Hugging her children was at the top of the list. She had checked on them while the battle was going on. Zimia and Dianna had all 3 kids in Kolar's bed with the force field up.
"Excellent job, everyone. we wouldn't be alive right now if it wasn’t for all your skills."
she nodded her head.
"Let me know when we are underway." Mira turned to the science office. “Make sure you do a thorough scan of this area of space. I am sure Star Fleet will want to every bit of information they can get their hands on."
The young Ensign nodded, turning around in her seat to get to work. Slowly, people started to come out of their shocked haze.
Both Montgomery and Kevin were on the bridge, so she knew one of them would take command. Kevin would be the logical choice, but he was operating helm, and he might also want to check on the kids, so she left it at that and walked out. Entering her quarters she heard Ashla crying. Walking into Kolar’s room, she smiled. "How's my big boy doing with dada's crazy flying? Was that fun?" She picked up the baby sling and slipped it on as she waited for his answer.
Zimia deactivated the shield, and Kolar grinned. "Dada do all that?" He moved his hand as if it was a ship flying around crazy. “We hit stuff, too?" he asked her, probably trying to figure out what was going on.
Mira nodded. As she wrapped her arms around him in a hug and kissed his head.
"Can we do it again?" he asked now that he thought it was a game.
Mira chuckled but shook her head no.
"Now that Mama and dada have completely messed up my pretty ship, we will go to that base I told you about and have it all fixed up." Her fingers combed through his hair as she talked to him.
"Can we paint it blue?" Kolar asked at the same time Venus hugged her and asked, "With flowers on it?"
"Well, I don't think Star Fleet regulations will let us do that, but maybe we can get some flowers for your room, Venus." That seemed to make the little girl happy.
Picking up Ashla, Mira slipped her into the baby sling. "Why don't the four of you head to the Briefing room and play?"
Mira headed to her desk and sat as she rocked Ashla. All the damage reports started coming in. Had she done the right thing? Was the timeline protected? Mira bit her lip. As soon as Ashla settled down Mira pulled out a PADD to start her report.

K'ner held on to the somber silence, as did the others. They all had friends and loved ones in the other department in which they worked. Hazard Team wasn't a singular entity, it was made up of many parts that just happened to be honed to work together in a synchronous harmony.
Nod had bashed through a Klingon death conundrum, followed by words from Taz in her formal, stilted speech. The ever-comedic Peke was serious for this occasion. It wouldn't last long, K'ner knew, but they would need it when it came.
Chbet gurgled through some Aquelian melody that she wasn't sure if it was a lament or atonement or an usher into the next phase of life. Even Billingsly had been around long enough to build some bonds, both in the team and in other departments.
The damage on the ship had cost them more than metal and circuits. It was times like these that K'ner wished she had more skills, more magic, more karmic points built up to save more souls. She silently wished them well on their journey to the next stage. . .
Then her fingers twitched, and she started a note on a certain Rommie captain named Nero, of the ship Narada, and her wish that he too should journey soon.
{Bridge, Deck 1}
With the Science Officer having completed her scans of the area, Kevin executed the navigational plot engaging at Warp Factor 6. Although they intended to refuel once they returned to Federation space, he thought it prudent that they marshal the remaining anti-matter in the backup containment unit. Just in case.
They had not found any trace of Jellyfish or the Narada, confirming their worst fears that both had been trapped in the black hole created by the detonation of the red matter to collapse the supernovae. While searching, Kevin had reviewed list of casualties from the engagement with the Romulan mining ship. Nine crewmembers. When added to the missing from their previous mission, it accounted to a loss of over one-quarter of the crew, including his entire flight detachment, over the last year. Mira would not be happy but he couldn’t hide the cost from her forever. Even if she weren’t the Captain, there were too many of their “family” gone to simply ignore.
Kevin had found a couple of surviving crewmembers with enough shuttlecraft experience to be able to handle the Norris’ flight controls under normal circumstances and he called an engineering petty officer to relieve him at the console. He was tired and wanted nothing more than to see his children and….fiancé. That was what they had agreed to so many months ago.
It was high time that he did something about that.
Petty Officer Zh'vorath arrived from engineering and slipped into the seat that Kevin vacated. He gave the engineer some instructions that basically amounted to don’t touch anything and call me if there is an emergency, then departed for the quarters that shared with Mira.

Mira's eyes closed. They had lost more crew? How could she go from never losing crewmembers, to this?
She snuggled Ashla closer. What could she have done differently?
There was a flash of light coming from her bedroom. Frowning, she got up to check.
"Get out of my bedroom." Mira told him equal parts angrily and annoyed.
"I had thought you might have had some questions, but." He turned to leave.
"Did the timeline change?" Mira's small worried voice asked him.
He stopped and turned back to her. "Yes, this timeline remains as it should, and you are where you need to be."
Mira raised an eyebrow. "Did I at some point not make the choices I did now?"
He nodded. "You were on Spock’s ship, and the Norris was destroyed. Spock is alive by the way and in an alternate timeline. The same one you would have been killed. You died an ice planet trying to safe captain James T. Kirk."
Mira's eyes widened.
He went on to say, "In this timeline, your death caused a rift between the Klingons and the federation."
Mira rolled her eyes, not truly believing that.
"Your daughter never got to grow up to be that amazing ambassador that brokered quite a few treaties."
Ok, that was interesting. Mira thought as she looked down at her sleeping child then back up at him.
She narrowed her eyes for a moment "So all these changes for her?"
He shook his head no “Time line. If each and everything hadn't happened as they did then in this timeline, Vulcan would have been destroyed. Saving you and your daughter was just a bonus. “
He nodded then started to turn away but stopped. “Mira there is going to be someone you trust asking you to join them on a ……under cover mission. “ Mira shook her head no but the Temporal officer put his hand up. “If you don’t go. You will not get the information you need and the Orion’s take you and your daughter. Your son is killed.”
All the color drained from her face. “If I go?”
“You will be hidden right under their nose. It’s a dangerous mission and will push your moral standards but you find the information needed. You and your children are safe. From this problem anyways. “ he added as an after thought.
Mira bit her lip. “why can’t you just tell me the information?”
He smirked, “I don’t have it.” In a flash he was gone
Mira looked down at her daughter sleeping in her arms. “Your daddy and I need to talk but how much can I tell him?” Ashla slept on totally unconcerned her mothers problems.
With that Kevin entered the room she gave him a smile as she laid Ashla in her little bed. "You look tired."
Kevin gave an acknowledging grunt then said, "The black hole has stabilized at a diameter of 1.4 million kilometers. We completed our scans of the area but found no trace of either the Jellyfish or the Narada. We are on course for Earth Outpost 3 and have informed Star Fleet of our situation."
"Earth Outpost 3?" Mira asked, "Why not Starbase 10? They have better repair facilities."
"Outpost 3 is the closest and gets us out of Romulan Space," Kevin shrugged, "We can take on enough anti-matter there to get us to Beta Antares." After a pause, he added, "Damage and casualty reports are available on your PADD."
Mira nodded "I read them...." it had torn her up. More of the people she had swarn to protect gone. Mira bit her lip thinking Kevin looked so tried. She wasn't sure if she should add more to his plate and yet keeping him out of the loop felt...... dishonest.
"Kevin I know you're tired but when you're up to it. I have ..... " she paused for a moment trying to come up with the right word. "I feel I should update you on some information I have. I .... well I think you should know as much as I do." she nodded then moved closer wrapping her arms around him for the huge she needed.
"Will it complicate our lives?" Kevin asked
Mira bit her lip. "Yes," she answered.
"Then it will keep until tomorrow," he replied, squeezing her tight, "Right now, we need to be together as a family and forgot our troubles."
Mira nodded "it will keep until later." She rested her cheek against his chest as they. hug. Kolar would be back soon and he would want thier attention. Right now was for them. Just to give thanks that they were all alive and unharmed.
{ Kronnelti’s quarters }
After the events that had happened, Awal had gone to his room to check on Dianna & Venus.
as he entered both were sleeping with Venus tucked under her mothers arms with Spike on the floor. He sat down at his desk and couldn't believe how much bigger his daughter had gotten
