Kevin listened to his two officers make plans on retrieving their little chief of operations officer, but his eyes stayed on Mira. She moved like a dancer in and out of the crowd and was beautiful even with the white blonde hair. He caught her attention and gave her a little wink as he motioned her over to him.
The surprised look on her face was adorable, and he hid his grin. It always seemed to surprise her when he flirted with her. It only made him want to do it more.
Right now, she even looked around to see if he was calling anyone else but realized it was her, so she made her way over.
"What can I get for you?" her voice, as always, was a mix of sugar and spice that never failed to grab his attention.
Taking her hand, he slowly pulled her onto his lap. She seemed confused at first but swung her leg over his and sat down. putting her hands on his chest. "I don't think I am supposed to do this." Mira soft voice whispered.
Kevin smiled. "You are right where you belong." He told her with confidence.
Mira giggled, shaking her head, "I don't think my boss would agree. You are going to get me punished."
He leaned closer to her. "No one is going to punish you. I won't let them. What do you remember?"
Mira's breath caught in her throat at that question and his promise. She wanted desperately to believe him, "my first name."
Kevin's hand stroked her arm as he nodded. "Don't worry about anything, ok?"
"Mira, get back to work!" An angry male voice called out, making Mira jump.
She swallowed hard. "I got to go."
Against his better judgment, Kevin nodded but kissed her. "Not leaving without you, kitten."
She gave him a puzzled look but nodded.
Awol leaned forward. "I'll take him out first. Then start the fight. You grab her, and Montgomery will head to the shuttle to get it ready to go."
Kevin nodded.
Mira was picked up and put on the counter. She seemed to freeze for a moment until music started to play. It was an old earth song he had heard many times.
But not the way Mira sang it.

Awal must have been into position because the fight broke out, pulling his attention from Mira.
"Captain, NOW!"
Kevin slammed his fist into a male in his way of getting to Mira, then reached up and took her by her hips, moving her to be cradled protectively in his arms. Then, he left the bar in chaos behind him.
Mira looked confused. "Did I do something wrong?"
Kevin chuckled. "No kitten, we are just leaving."
Awol caught up to them and took Mira's wrist.
"You have better be able to get that off." Kevin told him.
Awol nodded. "This would be easier if we weren't running."
Kevin knew that, but they had no time to stop.
Awal cursed as sparks came from the bracelet in his hand, and he tossed it. "done. Run!"
{Docking port}
As they entered the shuttle, the doors sealed shut. "Get us back to the ship, Montgomery."
"Aye, Sir."
Kevin settled her in a chair, then buckled her in. "Everything is ok now." He smiled
Mira wasn't sure what was going on or what she should say, so she nodded. Either this was a good thing, or things just got worse. The man started to give the others orders. It seemed like they were meeting another ship.
