"I don't know if this is a good idea." Mira said. They had left the kids with Zimia and went down into the storage area of the ship to look for Awal.
"it's a perfectly good idea, Awal will know all about what happened." Deanna nodded to her.

"But what is he doesn't?" Mira asked they turned the corner.

"What if who doesn't?" awal asked

Mira grinned. "Remember what's going on?" Mira asked in a whispered voice.

We've been in different places, going from a mining facility to being on Viking land.

You for the most part had no memory of it till now. Said Awal.

Mira smiled, relieved, "I remember far more than I want to, brother. Most of it, I die over and over again."
She put her arms around him to hug. "Kevin seems different. He remembers the ship in space. The USS Chuck Norris, but he seems more comfortable here. He even said the memories are fading." Mira shook her head.
"What did I do here? From all I can see is, I raised Kolar and got pregnant again. There is no way I got any work done dressed like this, and I just don't understand. "
Deanna sighed. "It's not what you did do. It's what you will do now. You love Kevin, right?"

Mira nodded
"Well, you're pregnant," Deanna pointed to her stomach. "That is his baby. Kolar is his, and so are you. Men have a thing about protecting what is thiers and when she is pregnant well that sets off all kind of protection actions in men."
Mira sighed. "I told him he could handle protecting us."

Awal nodded his approval. "Then let him."
Mira frowned. "What does that have to do with the clothes?"

Awal smirked. "dressed like that, you're not likely to jump off the ship with knife and kill something."

Mira rolled her eyes that fish had been going after her people. "and how do I protect myself. I can't fight in this."

"That's probably the point. You are to be looked after and taken care of, not fight."

Mira blinked slowly. Seeing she wasn't going to get anything more out of this conversation. She gave Awal a little smile and then walked back up the stairs.

Awal chuckled, you still are stubborn as ever Captain.


Mira smirked as she walked away. So he did remember she had been Captain.


It took only a few moments for Deanna to join her on deck. Mira hands held the rails. she looked like she was looking out over the water, but her eyes were closed.

"Ok, there is more to all of this than letting Kevin protect and provide. So talk." Deanna told her.

Mira gave a little nod. "Do you know how many beatens and punishment I took to learn to be self-reliant. When I had enough, I left. l started my life only to run into a man who wanted to make me into this amazing warrior he had dreamt of. A perfect warrior woman."
Mira nodded.

"Kolar was older than me. So he wanted to have kids right away. I didn't know the first thing about being a mom. I didn't tell him that I continued with my birth control until he told me we would need to go down and find out what the problem was that we hadn't had a baby. " Mira looked out over the water. " My CO thought that Kolar and I had need a vacation. " she rubbed her fingertips on her forehead.
" By then, I was pregnant . We had attempted to get married two times, and each time, it was canceled because of some base emergency. The last night we were together, I had just told him I was pregnant. I got up to getting us both a drink, and then a big Orion male stepped in front of me. It all happened so fast. He ......."

She looked away. "plunged the knife in and ripped it side ways. I looked down, noticing the blood before the pain registered." her hand rubbed her unborn child.

"I was in Kolars' arms, and the ship was under attack, and he was taking me to medical. The next thing I knew, the doctor was telling Kolar I lost the child but that he was sure he could save me." Mira bit her lip
"I was terrified. I called his name, but he looked at me like all his feelings were gone. Then he left. I went to get up to stop him, but the nurse pressed something to my neck. There was nothing but darkness. Everything was gone, and I was injured. trapped on a planet with no one but Vaytoc to take care of me.Now I am to put everything in someone's care?"
That concept was foreign to her.

"Oh, Mira." Deanna hugged her.
