Plans to Confront

Mira’s entered the flight deck with a Raktajeno for herself and a cup of Kevin’s beloved Kona blend for him. He was already at the flight console, having slept in the off-duty pilot’s bunk adjacent to the flight deck for easy access. Mira had been sleeping in the VIP quarters to the aft, mostly because it had the biggest bed, allowing Vaytoc to stretch out without cramping her.

“Oh, thank you!” Kevin exclaimed as he took the cup, “This is Cochran-sent.” He took a sip of the hot liquid, savoring the taste on his tongue before swallowing. “I am regretting my decision to send away both of the yacht’s assigned pilots,” he said ruefully.

She smirked "Yeah well it was better than my original plan. The engineer has already made 2 repairs. I would have more than likely killed the engine getting here at top speed and been stuck somewhere."

“We are about three hours out from Qo’nos,” he said, “So what is the plan when we arrive?”

Mira winced "yeah again since me going to find J'pok, kicking his ass and taking Kolar isn't going to work due to evidence we have been looking into. plan C? "

The petty officer third-class brought a tray of food for them and Mira took a seat in the chair. " Since we really don't know what we are up against. We need more information. Getting to K'lar's house will be easier, I think it's outside the city. I got in contact with the 02 on the USS Conqueror. Seems they were hit really hard in an attack, but Jake was able to grab K'lar, Kiara, and the 3 boys. He couldn't get a lock on Kolar, but they are hoping Tanom Arv. She is Kolar's Nanny, by the way, is still with him. The woman is older and a widow she has been living in the house since the death of her mate years ago and took to Kolar quickly. If they didn't kill her and there is no evidence that they have. She is taking care of Kolar because it would be too much trouble to do it themselves. It's easier to kidnap the nanny, too."

Kevin nodded his agreement, "As they didn't kill her on the spot you are likely correct."

Mira rubbed her eyes. "Once we are at K'lar house, we see what ships and men they have. I am not sure about the next part. I could go to the high council with charges against J'pok Okac for taking Kolar a Federation citizen. That has a good chance of working, seeing as your are his father demanding the return of your son and you have no ties to the Klingon Empire. Might be tricky if J'pok Okac is determined to have me in this little plan of his."

"Getting back-up from House Rasmehlier will be important," Kevin said, "It will reminder the Chancellor of your family's importance to him.

He paused a moment in thought. "Do non-Klingons have standing in the High Council?" he asked, "I seem to remember Admiral Picard did but he was some sort of designated official. And aren't civil disputes handled through martial combat?"

She nodded "Yea almost everything is worked out by fighting" She laid her head back on the chair. " There is too much politics and introgue going on. It makes my head hurt. I did find a few interesting patterns in the transmissions. it seems the three houses going against House Ramehlier are getting outside help. The last time something like this happened, it was the Romulans. I don't think it's them this time. Whoever is doing this is wreaking the empire so slowly they might not even realize it. Garahl and the Harbinger. By the way, the Harbinger is my ship. It was a gift." Mira chuckled. "Anyways, seems I have been kidnapped and in the hands of the Orions. That would be why Garahl took off with the Harbinger and two other ships. They left weeks ago. So even if they turn back now they will not get here in time. K'lar is making his way back here but his XO had started the trip to earth for repairs again weeks ago. And all of these messages to the USS Chuck Norris was never answered or received. It's odd that we got the one about Kolar's DNA. " Mira frowned not meeting Kevin's eyes "I am going to have to challenge J'pok Okac myself. " she told him not liking the idea at all. She was trying to rebuild her life not get it tangled up in klingon drama. "How are you with blades?"

"I'm no good with a bat'leth," Kevin confessed, "but I know my way around a d'k tahg. I'm no more happy about the thought of you fighting J'pok than you are about me doing so. Once we get to your cousin's we can better assess the situation. If we can find where they are keeping Kolar, one of us could rescue him while the other causes a distraction." He immediately thought of Kronnelti and his damned grenades.

Mira nodded, " I wonder if me showing up will be a surprise or something they planned? I guess I'll have to see if I can find anything on his fighting skills. I might be able to find a weakness. They all know I was trained so surprise is out. " She shrugged. Finding out how to beat him that was really her only way of winning. He had her by 160lbs and a foot taller still she was going to hurt the man.

"Now I am really missing the crew. K'ner could give me pointers on how to bet this guy. I could really use some practice. " Mira told Kevin.

Looking at the image of J'pok on Mira's PADD, Kevin pointed out, "He's very overweigh and I doubt that all of that is muscle. He is likely going to be slow but hard hitting. You can use your speed and agility against him. Remember that the best way to take a hit is to not be there when it lands."

Mira nodded that was true.
