Going up

Mira was way too relaxed. She might have dozed off because when Lark jumped in splashing water everywhere. Mira came up out of the water, choking on the water, swallowed. "What the hell, Lark?" he was such a goofball.
Ruon chuckled. "You have no game, bro."

Mira sighed. "What are you two doing here now I thought we were hanging out last night?"

Lark frowned. "I thought you were going out with Kissy face last night?"
Ruon raised an eyebrow "Oh who is this? Girl, have you been holding out on me? Details and hold nothing back."

Mira frowned. "I spent last night by myself as always. Who told you that, and who is Kissy face?"

Lark laughed. "Some guy on your ship, and Rico told us."

Mira looked hurt, "Oh him.....No it was just a drunken kiss on his part, and he gave me the brush off with the 'maybe we can have a drink or something'." she shrugged. "You would think I would know better than to open up to someone by now."

Ruon frowned, " Mira, that's not true. You know you could be with a guy in a heartbeat."

Mira held up her hand "Yeah. The Klingon counsel would be happy if I just married Kolar's cousin. Then they could have a proper head of the Rasmehlier house. Thor would be happy if I just settled for one of his men. Rico would be happy if I settled for him, but that's what it is. Settling. I want to be happy. I want to be in love and be loved."

Mira stood up and tied her sarong around her thin waist. Walking over to the zip line she strapped herself in, then jumped off, enjoying the feeling of flight. Vaytoc would be running down the mountain and meeting her at the bottom.
So Rico had to work and told the guys she had a date to get them to leave her alone. That was annoying. Mira let the technician unhook her from the zip line once at the bottom. she smiled. "Thank you."

"All that we have is yours," he smiled. Mira smiled back. Yeah, a meaningless night. I'm not going there.

Mira walked away and waited for Vaytoc. He was jumping over a rock and by her side within a few moments. "Good boy," she patted him.

Mira sighed as she saw Taman flirting with a poor guest. Shaking her head, she kept walking until she came to the Galartha cliffs.

Mira slipped into her body suit and put the Sarong in her backpack, and put it in a locker to pick up later.. Waiting in line, she got to the front of the line. "Name? And skill level?" the man asked her.

"Mira Rodale expert, instructor." Mira told him. The man frowned and looked at the PADD, then smiled. "Welcome back. Protection or no."

Mira smirked at his term for the parachute. "Definitely protection." Mira slipped it on her back and snapped it closed.
The guy in the next line laughed, "So an expert needs a parachute?"

Mira raised an eyebrow. "Have you climbed this before?"

"No, have you?" He asked her.

Mira looked up at the guard. "How many times have I successfully made this climbed?"

he looked at the PADD "289 times." He smiled, impressed.

The other guys in line laughed. "So this is easy! Great!"

Mira shook her head. "Vaytoc go up now." Then she began her climb. There was a path that led up top that Vaytoc would take.

Ten minutes into the climb, Mira heard a shout as 'Mr. know it all' fell. Mira swallowed hard, making the changes in the path she was taking up. What she loved about climbing was that it kept her mind off everything. She smiled as she pulled herself over the edge. Breathing heavily, she laid back down on the ground, staring up at the sky.

A rather good-looking man leaned over her. "You ok?"

Mira smiled as she sat up. "Yes, just enjoying the endorphin rush I get after a climb."

He smiled "Yes I love that feeling." he held out his hand, "Bruce Bennett."

Mira shook his hand. "Mira Rodale." Vaytoc came around the corner with his tongue hanging out. " Hey, big guy, I beat you this time!" Mira laughed as He pranced around.

Bruce's eyes widen. "You know it."
Mira didn't like the way he said that. "Yes, he has been with me for years." she got up knowing her peace here had ended. Where hadn't she gone yet. Mira slipped off the top of her climbing suit to cool off as she walked.
She snapped her fingers. "Temtibi Lagoon, let's go swimming."
