ON: (U.S.S. Chuck Norris - Ready Room)
"First Officers log, Stardate 72690.8, the Chuck Norris has now been docked at Starbase 10 for almost a week now. This would actually be advantageous to us, as it would appear that we rushed out of the this very Starbase a short time ago. There were some minor repairs and refits that needed to be done before we took off and I am glad that we are getting them done now. Thanks to the fine engineering crews here at the Starbase with the help of our new Chief Engineer G'ginloss, most work is now completed with a few smaller projects still to be finished in the next day or so. I have not seen the Captain that much, and I am not sure if he is onboard the ship or in meetings with the Admiralty. Sometimes I have to laugh as no matter where you go looking for him, he always seems like he is in another place. I had a chance to also talk with the assistant Ops officer Ensign Anderson, who made some interesting points about our current crew manifest, which is what I was hoping to discuss with Captain vonMcCormick but again, see my previous point. On the positive note, Lt. Collier has now been released from Sickbay and is resting in guest quarters on the station, as are most of the crew as we await our new orders. I should check in with Ensign Wyatt, he might have some information and where we maybe heading next. The man also constantly looks like he is often at war with his own thoughts, and we may have to address that, we can't have his mind running fast than his body. End log." With that Aurther stood up and tugged on his uniform to adjust it down. He left the ready room and proceeded to do a quick tour of the ship. It was not a fast tour for the size of the Chuck Norris was small, but powerful. The warp core, glowing a soft low blue as it was not in use. The hum of the ship was very low, usually a little higher would give a calming effect, but the comfort of the Starbase did the same. With the rooms and hallways being empty, it was only a matter of time before he ended up himself on the Starbase, looking for something to do.
