To much to drink

The Klingon smiled. "Now, let's try this from my perspective."

Mira laughed as she was picked up. She placed her hands on his shoulders. Mira took in his rank pins for his rank since she didn't know his name. "Now, being this tall is interesting Commander. But you still can't go around beating on the bar keepers. You will get tossed off the base." she smiled at him.

Kira stood up. "Rightfully so, put her down. Now!"
Whoa, did that tone just come from Kira? Impressive! Mira thought she had to work on sounding like that someday!

For a moment there, the Klingon looked like he wasn't going to do it, but after pressing his nose to her neck and inhaling, he let her slide down his body to land on her feet. Kira took Mira's arm. "We need to talk."

Mira laughed a little tipsy. "I thought that's what we have been doing?" she waved a hand to the table they all had been sitting at.

Kira smiled, "Yes, but your tests came back that you are you, and now I understand what has been going on. I know the reason they tried to kill you."

"Of course I am me who else would I be." Mira asked as Kira moved her very quickly to sickbay. "Wait, you know about that Bashirrrr look alike who sent me to the Mirror universe and when the assassin over there failed to kill me. That Bashirrr is really a woman, and she tried to kill me in sickbay on my own ship?" Mira asked wide-eyed.

"Wait, you were in the mirror universe again." Kira asked her while they were in sickbay. Mira stumbled at the sudden stop Kira made to look at her. "Is that what you meant by you left no stone unturned to look for Captain Intermezzo?" Kira asked.

Mira nodded. Wondering why Kira wasn't a drunk as she was? “Hey, weren't you drinking too?" Mira realized.

Kira laughed, " Sorry, Mira, you ended up drinking my share as well as yours."

"Oh!" Mira nodded she had thought maybe those glasses of Quark’s held more than she thought because it was never emptied.

"If only Bashir hadn't taken so long with the test. Will you remember any of this in the morning." Kira asked.

"Of course I do. Both sides of my brain work perfectly fine. " She waved her finger. “It’s humans that lose memories when they drink. Sometimes, I just say I don't remember when I want to get out of something." Mira confessed in a loud whisper.

Kira raised an eyebrow. "Good to know, I will remember that."

Mira frowned, thinking maybe she should not have told Kira that.

Kira took both of Mira’s arms and made her look at her. " Listen carefully. Do you remember when the Zaj attacked the base."

Mira nodded. "Yes. I brought back their language from the Mirror universe. " she said happily.

Kira smiled. "Yes, you did, but do you remember Captain Intermeezo wasn't on the ship? Well, he was taken by the Zaj, and a doppelgänger was put in his place, and you have been dealing with him, a Zaj spy that looked like the Captain all this time."

Mira frowned. "So that would mean .....I am not the XO of the ship because the spy asked me afterwards to be his XO and....." Mira held up a finger to get her thoughts straight." I am still a Lt Commander. Because a spy made me a commander. " Mira looked very confused. "I think I need another drink. My world just got very........weird."

"No, you don't need another drink. You need some Raktajino." Kira snapped her fingers at a nurse to get her some.

"Do I still have a brother, or is he someone else too?" Mira asked, blinking.

"Your brother?" Kira asked, confused as to why Mira would be asking about that man? Kira had tossed him off the base.

Mira sighed. "Kronnelti?"

Kira frowned, " He is the chief of security of the USS Chuck Norris."

Mira was handed a cup of hot, sweet Raktajino that she started sipping on. "But the ship has a captain now? The real one?"

Kira nodded.

"Ok, better tell Kronnelti he is in charge until the captain is back or maybe Lance. " She was very confused about who was next in line. Mira started to walk away, then stopped. “Tell the captain that his XO Lieutenant Commander Olivia Dersch returned to earth. His 02 Lieutenant Commander Ech'am G'ginloss got transferred to another ship, and his Chief Operations Officer is now Lieutenant Dasha Fedorovich. And he doesn't have a chief engineer." Mira nodded, thinking she had filled him in on everything.
She turned and started to walk away but Kira stopped her "Where are you going?"

"I don't know, but I am going to need a job." Mira told her," And a vacation and more drinks, I am still standing. " she looked down to make sure that was true. Yep, she was still on her feet.

Mira did walk away this time and came across Kevin Lance walking on the base. He started by saying "Commander we should talk." She nodded. "I know. Don't worry, you didn't really kiss me." she pulled him down and kissed him." Shhh, I didn't really do that, too. It's all OK."

Mira walked away from Kevin , and a security officer started to trail her. "Don't worry, Lieutenant. I'll keep her safe."

"Commander Rodale, please let's get you....." The security officer started to say only to be cut off by Mira saying "to the bar." She raised her hand." I have two more bottles I ordered, and I am going to get them."
