What you do

Posted on Tue Jan 2nd, 2024 @ 6:14am by Captain Mira Rodale & Lieutenant Commander Kevin Lance & Lieutenant Awal Kronnelti

Mission: Christmas Cheer
Location: Hvalset Fjord, Greenland
Timeline: Present

on:
{Hvalset Fjord, Greenland}

Mira rubbed her forehead with the tips of her fingers. " Thor no." Mira shook her head." You can't just walk up and kill him."

Thor frowned. "Why? He is on my land."

Mira looked up at him and smiled. "Because I still have hope of pushing him out an air lock," she joked.

Kronnelti scolded while he chuckled. "Mira no." He pointed to the map that Thor had laid out on the table. "His men and Sheris were there."

Mira nodded. "Ok, Thor, no killing. If I can't push him out an air lock, then it's Plan C." At the confusion looks, "Plan A is Thor wants to kill him. Plan B, I want him out an air lock. So what will Plan C be." She sipped at her mead to cover her grin. "Remember, whatever we do will more than likely make it to star fleet. "

Invite them to the games? Those sleds are brutal if not used correctly said Kronnelti

Mira eyes widen "That might work. " she laughed "but I am not competing with him. "

I will said kronnelti, look what happened when I chased you down the hill on those damn things.

Mira laughed, thinking about it. Actually, she loved the speed. She just didn't like the crisscross with someone else.

"I will compete in the log toss," Kevin volunteered.

I figure we start with ax throwing first, then log toss, and the sleds be the last? Speaking of axes, I'll be back as kronnelti went off to the blacksmith to retrieve his new ax.

Mira looked to Thor. "I can't throw an axe, or is that different from the hatches?

Thor shrugged. " I feel they are different since they are. You will more than likely pick up axe throwing before you will hatches. Your skill is with blades. But, you will not be compecting. We don't want this Sheris to know your skills. Always keep your skills hidden from your enemies. I know you know this. Your is your best skill is .....?"

Mira smiled. "Surprise. So, I sit back and let him think I am just a girl."

Thor smiled. "We keep you by our side and in our sights. This Lance of yours is right. We keep you in sight of everyone. Act shy."

Mira laughed. "Me shy?"

Thor leaned in and whispered, "There are times you are. Play on that."

Mira looked up at Kevin to get his take on what Thor said. It looked like he agreed. "I will try. But, one game we will NOT be playing it toss the Trill. I have too many bruises."

Thor nodded. "Andorians come from a very cold world. They might not be as inept as Kronnelti thinks."

10 minutes later Kronnelti returns with his new axe, this will be great to throw he says. It's perfectly balanced with excitement.

Do you have any plans on the axe throwing or will someone substitute? Asks Kronnelti

Mira shook her head. " I have not tossed an axe or hatchet, but I am going to learn." She said with determination. She hated not knowing something it was a sign of weakness or so she had been told enough. She looked up at Kevin wondering if he knew more about this weapon.

Thor nodded to Kronnelti " Any one of my men can compete. Odin and Loki are normally our best but each competition is different. Vala " he pointed to the six foot tall viking woman across the room took it last year. "Our little Mira is best at blades " he patted her shoulder with pride. " give her enough knives and she will make ya a design on the target." he laughed

Mira shrugged "I was bored." That comment made Thor laughed harder.

Kronnelti walked over to the throwing knifes along with the hatchets and axes, he picked up a knife or two and hurled then into the target board next to the center.

Next he did the same with the axe and hatchet. This is fun said Kronnelti, he collected them all off the board and did it again until he hit dead center every throw.

Mira you should try it, as Kronnelti keeps throwing.

When it was Kevin's turn, he selected one of the heavier axes. He entered the throwing box but instead of facing target and preparing for an overhead throw, he stood perpendicular to the target and began spinning the axe over his head by the safety thong.

The wide arc of the rotating axe brought shouts from the other competitors as they stepped away from the whirling blade. When it reached full speed, Kevin began spinning in a counter clockwise fashion to add greater momentum to the axe. After three rotations, he released his grip on the thong.

The axe rotated on its balance point as it flew towards the target. There were shrieks of exclamation from the observers as they pulled back from the edge of the viewing area. The axe sunk into the target deeper than any of the other weapons but was well outside of the bullseye. The force of the blow knocked the target off of its tripod.

Mira picked up a good size Axe. It was a Viking war axe about 3 foot long and weighting 5lbs. So more the half her size in length. The weight was good and solid.
Taking it in both hands she swung it in figure 8 to get the feel and loosen up her muscles.

Thor had told her earlier it was tossed over head. She made sure her body was lined up with the line on the ground then took a step back to get ready. Tossing the axe as she took a step forward, she let it lose. It thudded hard landing a little off of dead center but for a first try she was pleased.

Looking back, she saw Thor smile. " A killing blow. Well done. I knew in a short time you would master that one. Remember, when you toss the hatchet, it's over the shoulder and has a sweet spot just like the blade."

Mira nodded as she watched Odin toss the hatchet and at what point he released it. Stepping forward, she did it the same as if she copied his movements. Thor widen his eyes because that was exactly what she had done.

No wondering she picked things up so quickly. She watched and mimicked. Just like she did with languages.

Mira pulled out the blades tossing them in rapid success making a circle around the bullseye with the last one being dead center. Thor watched Kronnelti with the blade he tossed them but with a different style. Thor didn't think she had picked up the blade tossing from Kolar. Still, it was a style he had seen before.

"Mira who taught ya to blade toss" She stiffened and the blade stuck in the roof. Mira gave a curse as she started to climb the wall to go and get it. That wasn't a reaction he had thought she would make.

"She is like a monkey " Odin announced then added "Wee little spider monkey." making some of the men laugh.

Kronnelti chuckled and his toss is off hitting the outer ring, he watches Lance and is amazed at his throwing ability. He also watches Mira who quickly learns the technique of throwing, good good said Kronnelti.

Between Lance and Kronnelti it's becoming a little challenge who can hit the middle target without it bouncing off but both call it quits as both men have incredible aim.

Kronnelti then picks up the 5lber gets his stance and over hands it they way it's ment to be thrown, he lets go letting the weight do the work. Once it hits it splits the target... Kronnelti looks over I didn't mean to break it.

Mira laughed as the target broke "Ah seems they are made for Vikings not Klingons. Thor your going to have to make them stronger."

With a wave of his hand more targets were put out "Nothing last forever little one. It is why we have more."

Oden can you show us the log toss as Kronnelti puts everything down and shieths his axe

Odin laughed. Taking his shirt off, he showed off his muscles as he flexed his arms. "Aye, that one separates the boys from the men."

One of the Viking women yelled, " Not all of us are males."

Odin smiled and then bowed to the women. " And the men from the Valkyrie," the woman smiled, accepting the comment.

Odin waved them out doors to begin the demonstration. Odin, then, said "Some places in the world it is called a caber toss. It takes two, normally, to set it up. But if done with a rock, you can do it yourself. "

A full-length log of pine wood was lying out straight between two men. Odin stood at one end with the end of the log against his feet. On the other end, one of the men picked the log up, walking it from laying down position to a standing up one. Odin, using both hands under the bottom of the log, picked it up to rest against his body.

Odin runs forward, building up momentum, before he tosses the log into the air. flipping it end over end before it hits the ground "The object is to flip it still keeping it straight and the one closest to 12 o'clock wins. Of course, for the tiny among us we have a log for ….. her size.” Odin handed Mira a stick that she took then hit him with it. Causing everyone to laugh as Odin rubbed his head. Mira just smiled.

Kronnelti was in awe, he looked at Lance and said you got a great throwing arm do you think you can do this he asked?

Odin what's the weight on these logs? Kronnelti asked

"19 feet 6 inches (5.94 m) tall and weighs 175 pounds (79 kg) for the males heavy weight but there are two others light weight
16–20 feet (5–6 metres) tall and weighs 90–150 pounds (40–70 kilograms)"

Odin stroked his beard ,"The woman's class typically is 10 to 16 feet long and weighs 40 to 100 pounds." Mira's eyes widen at that . She could lift 100lbs but toss it end over end more than likely not. Now, the 40lbs was doable, but then she would be called a light weight. It was not really a title she wanted, so she remained hugging Vaytoc and Spike. They were very warm, and the purr Vaytoc was making was so soothing.

After listening Kronnelti takes off his Hoodie and shirt revealing a lot of scars ones from battles to the ones he got from fighting G'ginloss in a klingon challenge.

He's built as nobody has ever seen him without his uniform on. He walks up to the log Kronnelti puts a hand up as he asks for no assistance.

Kronnelti then starts lifting it up balancing it as he gets it straight up.

He then gets both hands underneath and lifts, it catches him off balance for a second but he corrects himself.

His biceps, triceps and forearms are bulging as he starts running forward then chucks it, the pole is flipping over and over. It lands a few feet in front of Odin's then falls forward.

Kronnelti looks surprised with a smile. HAHA he laughs how was that Odin as he puts his shirt and hoodie back on

The Odinskus tradition of log tossing included pulling a tree out of the ground. True, the roots were cut and the ground around what remained of the tree's root ball was loosened but it still required a great deal of strength to pull a tree out of the earth like a weed. The root ball would change the balance of the tree to be tossed and was partially counteracted by the branches that weren't removed prior to the toss. These logs by comparison were clean of any obstructions. This is going to be easy, Kevin thought.

He selected a medium weight log at 55 kilograms opting for precision over brute strength. Kronnelti had locked up that department but the angle off the 12 o'clock position that the Klingon's log had landed left some room for a more accurate toss.

Kevin took position at the tapered end of his log. Kronnelti, apparently unaware of the traditional protocols of the sport, had wandered off leaving Kevin to seek the assistance of one of the competitors help stand the log to the upright. Once the log was vertical and the competitor stepped away, Kevin slowly worked his way down the log, getting a feeling for the balance as he went.

Once in a full squat with his arms around the tapered base of the log with its weight slightly balanced on his shoulder, Kevin pushed upwards with his legs powerfully, imparting momentum to the log and allowing him to get his hands under the base. There was a moment when the log threatened to fall over his should but a quick repositioning brought the log's balance point inline with the base that Kevin was holding.

Kevin focused his eyes on the toss line and began to slowly walk forward, ensuring that he kept control of the log's balance point three meters above him. When he felt the pressure of the log on his should lessen, he picked up speed to a fast walk, then a trot, and finally a dead run. As the log started to fall forward, he heaved the tapered end upward with a mighty exclamation of effort.

The log sailed higher into the air than Kronnelti's heavier log giving additional time for the weightier "top" end to feel the effects of Earth's gravity and plunge to the ground throwing the lighter end high in the air. When the "top" struck the ground, the log was well higher than 75 degrees from the plane and the lighter end's momentum easily carried past the vertical point.

Kevin's toss had been true and the "bottom" end of the log hit just slightly to the left of the 12 o'clock position. Kevin smiled smugly. Kronnelti may have thrown the heavier weight but his throw was the more accurate.

Great toss Kevin said Kronnelt. Kevin nodded his acknowledgement.

Mira watched as Kevin and Kronnelti competed against some of the Viking men, and even a few women.

Helga came up to her, helping Mira slip into a black fur coat. Mira still kept the brown hooded fur cape she had on when coming outside. Then she was handed a hot drink in a huge Viking mug.
Taking a sip of the mug, she blinked a few times before looking down at it.
Helga laughed. "Tis bone broth and a few vegetables. Thor was right, you don't even question drinks you’re handed, but you did blink at it." she laughed. "He wanted you to have something to keep ya warm and yet keep your wits about ya. Sheris entered our village and took a seat with the outsiders. Keep up appearances of drinking, dear."

Mira smiled. Loki had taken up position behind her. Just before Mira had spotted Sheris.

"So what is the plan," Helga asked

"I am not sure. They finished the plans when I was with you." Mira told her with a smile. "We will have to leave sometime tomorrow at the latest to make it back to the ship. Or They might decide it's just not worth it to deal with Sheris, and we leave today."

Helga nodded. "We still have the tug o' war, the hammer throw and shot putt." Helga tapped her chin. " If you ask me, the tug o' war would be the best game to pull Sheris in the mud. it's an equal amount of Vikings vs. outsiders."

Mira nodded. "Wouldn't Kevin and Kronnelti be considered outsiders? "

Helga shook her head no. " They came with ya, and Thor has told everyone his niece is of Trill born. Do ya really have a problem with the cold?"

Mira laughed, " There are times the ship is too cold, and I am tempted to put a sweater on." Mira cursed the moment she realized Sheris saw her. she had hoped with a fur hood on and wrapped in fur he wouldn't. she had Vaytoc wrapped around her legs and Spike laying across her lap, then the cape wrapping them all up she must look fat.
Loki must have noticed Sheris' look, too, because his one hand now rested on her shoulder while his other was on a sword

after the friendly comp between Kronnelti and Keven, kronnelti turned around just as he saw Sheris look in Mira's direction.

He tapped Kevins shoulder and said we got company as he looks in Sheris's direction.

As Kevin turns around and see's him Kronnelti says go to Mira.

Kronnelti then starts to walk up to Sheris but with no Intent to harm him.

Hello Sheris said Kronnelti. I would like to invite you and the others to a friendly competition.
.Mira fought the urge not to laugh. It had only taken Sheris a few more moments to find Kevin, and Sheris looked mad that Kevin was here. The man had caused Sheris the greatest amount of embarrassment in his life.

Kevin faced down the Andorian delegate as he approached the group around Mira. “You insolent pinkie,” Sheris said angrily, “You are without honor and by rights I should gut you where you stand.”

“But you can’t,” Kevin replied sharply, “Not without staining your own honor. The challenge was formally made and accepted, conducted under the rules established by your own culture. As you were unable to declare honor satisfied and as I don’t see our Second here, we will be able to settle the affair at this time.”

Sheris fumed. Kevin was correct that the matter had not been properly concluded and any misfortune to the Star Fleet Lieutenant would deny Sheris his opportunity at honorable revenge. He was no Romulan to use trickery and deceit in such a matter.

Mira bit her lip. She should have asked more questions about how and why the altercation between them had taken place.

She was still watching Sheris' reactions when his eyes saw Kronnelti. Mira covered most of her face with the mug as she sipped. It looked like he was trying to place Kronnelti. Had they even met on the ship? She couldn't remember.

The games pulled her attention back since the shot putt was next. Odin had explained that tossing her had been practiced for this event. Of course, he had asked if she would let them toss her here, too. Mira was guessing the look she had on her face must have completely discouraged him from thinking any more of the subject.

Helga leaned closer. "Have you kissed him yet?"
Mira frowned. "Who?"
Helga laughed. "Your young man."

Mira blushed. "He isn't really mine." Mira thought once they got back to the ship. Kevin wouldn't be as relaxed as he was here and .... She sighed, pulling her mind away from thinking more of it.

"New years Eve, there is a tradition that you bring it in with a kiss. It's bad luck not to." Helga told her.

"Maybe that's why my luck is so bad. I haven't honored that tradition for the last 4 years." Mira mumbled, but Helga laughed

"Then you should kiss 5 males to make up for it." Helga told her with a straight face.

Mira shook her head no that wasn't happening. If she got one kiss, she would be surprised.

Loki leaned down with a smirk on his face. "If no one grants ya a new year's kiss, then I will happily take care of that."

Mira blushed and then asked, " Why aren't you participating in the games?"

"I was the one that dropped ya, so I will earn my honor again by watching your back." Loki told her.

Mira's eyes snapped to Helga to see if he was telling the truth. From the woman's nod, it must be. "I am thinking we should leave tonight."

Helga laughed. "By tonight, everyone will be too into their cups to fly ya. We do have a few shuttles. You should take Thor's. He has weapons on his. I'll send a few men to retrieve it tomorrow. "

Mira nodded. "Thank you. Kevin is our trained pilot, but Kronnelti and I both can fly, if needed. I am now more familiar with a Klingon shuttle then the federation ones, but I am flexible with different transportation."

"Seems Kronnelti is going to talk to Sheris " Helga told her.

We've never got to officially meet as I was busy with other assignments. I'm lieutenant Awol Kronnelti chief of security, I've heard good things about you and it's finally an honor.

Sheris puffed his chest up with pride. Ah, so they didn't know what he had done, good. It also made more sense why Mira had not tried to charge him with anything. So it was just Kevin he had to get even with. That pink skin had cost him much. Sheris stood, putting his hand over his heart with a straight bow of his head.

"Competition?" His eye looked over at Mira.
He might still be able to impress her. "What game did you have in mind?" Sheris asked.

For starters there is axe throwing along with knives, the log toss as Kronnelti points to both. Odin and Thor will explain the events in the competition said Kronnelti.

Sheris nodded , "Of course that sounds excellent." he followed Kronnelti out to the arena and gave Mira a wink as he joined the other men. Odin quickly told Sheris the rules and how it was played. "Axe throwing will be first," Odin said to the group.

As men started to line up

Mira turned to Helga, didn't we do this inside?" she asked curiously.

Helga shook her head. " That was practice."

All the men lined up and picked up their axe of choice and each threw one either missing or hitting the bullseye.

Keven went up picked his axe aimed and threw it, it rotated perfectly with a trajectory that was perfect. Thud he hits center target.

Kronnelti is up next...he picks one up and takes stance aims and throws it. Thud another bullseye.

Sheris smiled as he stepped up. He lined up his stance then throws the axe it hit the target dead center.

After everyone threw their first axe next was the throwing knifes and again everyone either hit or missed their target.

Kronnelti, Kevin and Sheris all hit center.

Now for the fun 5lbs.

A lot of the men hit their target, Kronnelti again split it in half & Kevin perfectly hit center.

Sheris stepped up making sure that Mira was watching but she didn't seem to be basking in his glory. She was more contented to play with her moving cap. Then two huge cats stuck their heads out. The fully black one picked It's head up licking his lips. Sheris was sure the thing was thinking of eating him.
Mira ran her fingers over it's head and it settled down again. Sheris took a deep breath then went back to tossing his weapons and hitting his targets. What he needed was a game these two Feddie's weren't good at!

Up next the log toss, everyone lined up and had help with standing it up before tossing it.

Both Kevin and Kronnelti also had help before squatting and lifting it up and balancing it. Kronnelti runs then tossing the log letting it flip several times before landing at a perfect 12 position, Kevin does the same but better with it landing several feet more than Kronnelti landing in the 12 position.

'Well, if they can do it, so can I,' Sheris thought. Kronnelti assisted the Andorian with getting the log standing vertically. Sheris lacked Kronnelti's and Kevin's muscular build and had trouble keeping the log's balance point steady.

"He is going to do himself an injury," Mira said.

"From your lips to Cochrane's ears," Kevin replied.

Sheris squatted and heaved the log the get his hands and was almost immediately bowled over as the log started to fall backwards over his should. The Andorian was quick and move himself back under the balance point but overcompensated and the log began to fall forward. The were excited utterances from the crowd, many oohs and ahhs, as the delegate stumbled back and forth, to and fro, like a drunken monkey in a desperate attempt to get the log back under control. It took almost a minute but he finally was able to stand and face the toss line with full control of the log.

Sheris was unable a generate more than a fast walk to build up the momentum necessary for the log toss. He threw the log into the air with a mighty heave but the distance was significantly less than the other competitors. The "top" end of the log hit the ground and for a moment Kevin thought that it would not have sufficient momentum to tumble end over end. Sheris held his breathe as the log teetered on the vertical for an instant, then fell over to the 2 o'clock position."

Odin grinned. "Tough break, old man. Fortunately the distance of the toss is not considered in the score."

Sheris's eyes widen. "I am not an old man!"

Odin nodded "Sure" but he didn't say more as he walked away.

Kronnelti walked up to Mira and Kevin, he got offended by being called old man Kronnelti snickered.

Thor what's the last event? asked Kronnelti

Need something to put him out as he's been trying to get your attention Mira says Kronnelti.

Thor stroked his beard, " The sled ride, but this time to make it more interesting, do it the way you drove last time without a break man. To make it safer, we could just do one at a time and for speed to win. Or just challenge him to it your way?" Thor shrugged his shoulders. "Say something to the event being more challenging this way than the humans do it."

Mira frowned. "That's just crazy."
Thor shook his head no. " Klingons have denser bones than Andorians."

What's the fastest time on this hill? Asked Kronnelti

I want to break it with a very nasty smile

I want to humiliate that andorian.

Thor thought about then shrugged "We have never timed it that way. It's aways who it first but since we are doing something new the time will set at the winners speed."

Mira who do you think should set the fastest time? Asked Kronnelti

Mira bit her lip in thought. "If it's never officially been timed, then the best time on this day wins. Of course, when people start getting broken bones because they can't stop at the end without a break men Sheris will drop out." She ran her fingers over Vaytoc's fur thinking. "Best way to fix that is if you go last and change the rules because both of you aren't human or you go first against him with your rules? That might be better" She smiled. "I had played with the idea of trying it the way you did last time but have a pile of snow to crash into." she laughed.

I like the idea of having a snow barrier to crash in especially if it's strong enough to withstand all the crashes but soft enough so nobody gets hurt said Kronnelti

Mira nodded. " You have the best chance of not being seriously hurt. Thor is right on that. Well, it's up to you to make the challenge and win. "

I agree but I would like to go last. Kevin should set the bar since this guy doesn't like him.

Mira looked up at Kevin. Sheris really didn't like him but he had done the ride with her once already. She wasn't sure he wanted to again.

I have a plan for myself and one last thing is helmets? For those who don't want to crack skulls

Mira bit her lip "There were helmets when I rode." she looked over at Odin who shrugged "Kronnelti took off before we could given him his." She could see happening.

He looks at Kevin so you want to set it?

Mira shrugged "I could set it. I rode the track once before, I know all the turns. Sheris wouldn't want to be showed up by a girl any more then he would want Kevin to win."

Odin nodded "But we were keeping you out of the competition for a reason."

Mira nodded that was true she thought.

Kevin thought about the arrangement of the controls in the two-man sled. He could probably reach the steering handles from the brakeman's position. "I'll go," he replied to Thor.

over the speaker the sled race will be next, everybody gather to the hill.

all the competitors gather along the hill, Kronnelti tells sheris it's fastest time down hill as a big pile of snow is made at the end to plow into.

everybody goes down making times between 8.05.40 and 10.09.55

Sheris sees the times and scoffs thinking he can make the fastest time to beat.

Walking up the hill with both cats at her sides, Mira kept thinking about all the things that could go wrong. She takes Kevin's arm. "I should be doing this."

Kevin just shook his head no, then on an impulse his hand cupped her cheek."No. Stay with Thor just in case Sheris' men try anything. "

Mira bits her lip as she nods, watching him walk to the sled and put the helmet on.

Thor puts an arm around her. "Regeting not kissing him?"

Mira nods. " But something so precious as a first kissed is not used as a spectacle." She watched only Kevin but could feel someone watching her. She was betting it was Sheris.

As Kevin's sled went into the down the course, he noted that the sled was not attaining the same speed as the prior run.
He figured that the reduced weight due to the missing driver was the cause. As he expected, he was able to just barely reach the steering controls from the brakeman's position and was with only a little difficulty able to effectively maneuver the sled down the course. As the end the yanked up on the hand brakes and stopped his sled just short of the snow bank. Mira winced, hoping he was ok. Kevin's time was 7.02.30.

Sheris frowned, "I'll do better then you and I will have a meal together." He smiled at Mira, but she remained standing still as she held Vaytoc's collar. The cat just wanted to sink his teeth into Sheris. Spike showed his teeth.
"Easy boys," Mira wispered to both of them.

Sheris time was 7.02.42

it was Kronnelti's turn, he strapped his helmet on, he didn't sit as it wasn't against the rules.

WHOOSH like a bullet. Both Sheris and Kevin watched for the final time. Crash everybody ran down to the mound of snow as kronnelti laid there he was waiting to hear the time.

Kronnelti's time 3.15.10 the crowd erupted, Mira's worries went away but still couldn't believe how fast he went just by laying down.

He gets up holding his sled with a smile.

Kevin, Mira he yells to come over then whistles to both vay'toc and spike. Lets get a picture together he said.

Mira smiled for the photo her arm around Kevin and Kronnelti.

Sheris was yelling about Kronnelti cheating but Odin was just as loudly yelling that "the rules stated he had to be in the sled and if the Klingon wanted to lay down he could."

"We should pack our things and go. Thor is letting us use his shuttle. We just leave it at the base for him to get later" Mira told them.

That sounds like a great idea said Kronnelti as they walked back up the hill.

As they are nearing the huts Kronnelti backed off a bit, Mira can you take kevin to the 3rd hut? there is something that you guys must see he said.

As the three of them come to the hut Kronnelti opens the door and both Mira and Kevin walk in then the door gets shut being locked from the outside.

Mira turns to pull on the door. It didn't move. "What the crap! He locked us in? Why would he do that?" She looked around seeing a hole to let the smoke from the fire out. "I might be able to fit through that hole. "

Kevin shook his head "Not with all the fur on and its too cold. He will be back"

"Kronnelti let us out!" Mira yelled.

"He isn't there" Kevin told her.

Kronnelti then walks away looking at Thor and Odin with a smile.

He walks up to them and quietly says fun little love birds they are then heads back to his hut after giving the men the key to unlock it.

Mira wrapped her arms around her "Is this some kind of brotherly prank? My brother is a few years older then me so we never saw much of each other."

Kevin shrugged, "I have no Idea why he did it." He had the feeling that he was being presented with an opportunity that he was letting slip through his fingers.

Eventually, Odin knocked on the door. "Hello does anyone want to come out?" He opened the door with a smile.

Stepping out Mira frowned as she looked around "Where is Kronnelti?"

"He said he would meet you at the shuttle. " Odin smiled and Thor put a box inside for you." He handed them their bags. "This way you two."

{shuttle}

Mira dropped her bag then looked around "This is the same shuttle he had 8 years ago."

Kevin dropped his duffle and plopped into the pilot's seat. The controls were all very straight forward. He activated the control panel and began to go through pre-flight checks.

Kronnelti walks in like nothing happened, Mira saw spike get exited so she turned around.

She walks up to Kronnelti and just slaps him as hard as she could almost breaking her hand. And hello to you too commander said Kronnelti.

He looks over at Lance and he had a mean mug on his face....

before he could say anything Mira yelled at kronnelti for locking them in the hut, but before she could continue her padd pings off.

Kronnelti just walks away like nothing happened with a smile on his face as he knew what was about to happen. He then whistles for both Vay'toc and spike lets go over here and let them cool down.

Getting her padd out of her bag Mira looked at the message that came in. It was from Kronnelti "Oh by all that is holy." She had to have snapped or something she never hit another officer for any reason before! Using the back of her hand she wiped the tears off her cheeks. "I am sorry." But she couldn't seem to get the tears to stop. She had cried only once in front of her brother in law so she covered her face with her hand thinking maybe she should step out side to get herself together.
