Thor was griping his knife as Mira talked. He could see how she had been more concerned with the mission than her own safety, but at least she had taken some precautions.

He wanted to yell at her, and at the same time, he wanted to just kill Sheris. Those dark blue eyes of hers met his with such affection. She just didn't want him mad at her.

He let his anger go, then took her hand. "Everything will work out."

He looked around the room at the men he trusted, wondering if one would be a good match for her? But he knew she wouldn't leave starfleet, and his men had all devoted their lives to the old ways.

The kids in the all started chanting set alight the 'sunwheel'. Thor grinned. "Time for the fire"

At Mira's confused look, he pulled her outside into the snow. The village was set on top of a hill with a now frozen river below them. Mira watched as people set wreaths on fire. Then, the burning wheel was rolled down a hill in the hope of enticing the sun to return. Mira shook her head. " You just like watching things get burned or blow up, preferably both."

"You are right, min lille." Thor told her. "Now watch the spinning flames and let your troubles go."

Mira was smirking, but she did enjoy the sight of over 100 spinning wreaths going up in flames. it was bound to get someone's attention. Maybe not the sun, but it had her attention. How had she gone from lounging on the beach to partying with Viking in the snow? Her life was crazy.
