Awakening

After leaving Rodale sleeping in sickbay and the doctor saying she would be OK, Rodriguez went back to his post.

Chin had come on earlier to relieve him so he could watch Rodale’s six for her since Zimia couldn't get it in her head that Sheris wasn't an upstanding choice for any woman.

He wanted to yell at someone since going to the delegates' quarters would get him into trouble. But yelling at Zimia would make her cry, and he would feel like a jerk.

When Chin met his eyes, he calmly said, "The freaken jerk drugged her. We took her to sickbay. "

Chin came out of his seat. " he did what?"

Rodriguez "HE DRUGGED HER!" Ok, he had to tone it down some.
"Doctor K'ner said she would be all right. Mira is sleeping it off." Rodriguez told the whole room.

Chin looked as upset as he felt, "Does the captain know?"

"He will get the report from the medical department, but frankly, I don't think we can do much. Seems each part of the meal wasn't drugged, but you put them together in a 5'4" 100 lb Trill. Then mix in Andorian wine, and it makes our Commander one drunk little Trill."

Zimia pouted. "Are you sure maybe it was just a coincidence?"

"It wasn't, and stay away from Sheris. He is bad." Rodriguez told her. "He even had all the ingredients for his soup with him, so he was planning on using it on someone. When she couldn't even grasp the glass in front of her, I knew something was wrong. That guy just pulled her onto his lap like she was a little doll. Her eyes were so dilated that there were almost black with very little of the blue left by the time we got to sickbay. "

Chin frowned. "She wasn't hurt or anything, right?"

"No. Lance was in the next room, and Security was outside the door. " Rodriguez took a seat. He had saved the video if they needed evidence. He was sure Mira wouldn't want most of what was said out for the crew to hear, especially the part of her being attracted to Lance. He should have known when she admitted that to Sheris, she had been drugged.

Most of the crew knew about their attraction to each other. It would just seem that neither one of them knew about it. Huge problem from his point of view.

He shook his head. There was even a pool being held on how long it would take for the two to start dating.

Personally, he thought it would take Lance so long to ask her out they would all have gray hair. He hadn't even wanted to carry Mira to sickbay, then it was clear she couldn't get there on her own.

Rodriguez frowned. Mira would have wanted to do it on her own power, but still, without both of them half carrying her, she never would have made it. Mira would never ask a man out, he thought.

"She told Sheris she was sleeping with a male named Vaytoc." he had thought that was funny.

Chin grinned "Well, that huge beast does crawl into her bed every night."
Chin grinned. "How humiliated do you think Sheris would be to find out she preferred cuddling with her cat over being with him?"

{Sickbay}

Mira heard the sounds of beeping. She laid there trying to place that familiar sound. When she did, she knew she was in sickbay. How and why had she ended up here? She remembered going to that awkward dinner and the questions. Sheris was part of the Imperial Guard, and thaan. Ok, she remembered that. She remembered the wine, soup, and salad.......but was there anything else? She snuggled under the blanket. that was when she realized her dress was off.

Sometimes, sickbay did that to keep patients in bed. Not too many people would willingly walk around in their birthday suit. So it really was a good deterrent for not leaving until they gave you clothing and then that was when you had permission to go. Of course, if they left her clothing on, she always took it has permission to leave.

The CMO stopped by her biobed. “How are you feeling?”

Mira frowned, “Like I lost some memories Doc. How did I get here?”

The doctor checked her reading, “Promise you won’t go running off and I will.”

Mira frowned, “That bad doctor?” Seeing the Doctor nod Mira thought about it, but said “My word.”

“You were drugged but, you are responding well to treatment. I want to keep you over night for observation.”

Mira felt really calm. She raised an eyebrow “Did you give me something?”

The doctor smiled “Yes. What do you remember”

“wine, soup, and salad. Sheris was exceptionally annoying. I remember playing a question game but……..” Mira shook her head. “That’s all.”
