"I can't believe you didn't come to my rescue. That was why I activated the video and audio feed, Zimia, we talked about it." Mira was frustrated.

"I am sorry, Mira. I just thought that maybe you two might ......." She smirked. "Spark or something."

Mira stopped walking. "What do you mean by spark or something? I told you this whole mission was going up in flame if I didn’t agree to his terms. We can't have him or anyone else leaving the ship. That ......kiss was blackmail, pure and simple. if he had demanded more I......." Mira turned away from her not wanting to discuss it further. "All I asked was for you to interrupt the kiss, and you didn't. Thank all that is holy Kronnelti pinged me, or who knows what might have happened. "

"Security was right on the other side of the door." Zimia complained. "But what did you think of the kiss? The guy is good-looking and that hair." The dreamy sound Zimia had made with that comment had Mira raising her eyebrows.

"It didn't......." Mira rolled her eyes "Please tell me you don't have a crush on Sheris? " Mira looked up at the girl.

"Well he isn't interested in me. Can't I live my life vicariously though you?" Zimia pouted.

Mira put her hand over her face then sighed "No. Look, Sheris isn't who he is pretending to be. I just haven't been able to get him to slip up. He is too sneaky and knows too much. I think he is part of their Imperial Guard not just a delicate. it would explain why he didn't need anyone else with him."

"Oh, then why are you spending so much time with him?" Zimia asked

"There is an earth saying, keep your friends close but keep your enemies closer" Mira thought she explained enough "Now, are you going to help me with dinner or do I have to ask Rodriguez to guard by back at dinner?" At this point, Rodriguez might be a better choice.

"Right, you’re stuck going to dinner tonight and one more meal part of the payback." Zimia nodded "Ok so if Sheris gets all octopus on you I am to tell you that your needed on the bridge."
Mira frowned, "octopus?"

"Yeah you know his hands all over like he has more than two." Zimia nodded happily like that was the greatest thing ever

"Zimia, you worry me some times." Mira told her seriously.

Zimia kept that happy smile on her face.

Mira was rubbing her forehead trying to erase the pain her brain was causing her because of this conversation with Zimia.

"So, if you have to kiss another delegate who would be the worst?" Zimia popped off like it was the most natural thing in the world ask.

Maintenance chief petty officer started laughing. Mira frowned she should have known they weren't alone. The maintenance chief petty officer called back "Sorry that's is a good question I want to know too.."

Mira had to think about who the delegates were then she said "The Tellarite." yea that was one step below a ferengi.

"So the dead Grazerite delegate would be better?" Zimia asked puzzled.

"Oh, by all that is holy Zimia, no. He is dead. Never mind, I'll ask Rodriguez to watch my back with Sheris tonight. You ......I don't even know what to do with you." Mira raised her voice. “Chief petty officer, have you seen Kronnelti?"

Still laughing the chief petty officer said, "No ma'am."

" I am so glad I can amuse the crew." Mira mumbled she walked out of the room and down the hall. " He couldn't be at the ......"

Zimia started screaming! Mira ran forward "Son of a targ, I warned him to be careful." Her fingers searched for a pulse on Kronnelti. There was a pulse , and it was strong, too "Good thing Klingon have hard heads unlike Trills."

She had gotten to see the security feed on how bad her injuries had been. It wasn't pretty . No wonder some of the crew thought she died. Tapping her commbadge. "Transporter emergency beam out for Lt. Kronnelti and Ensign Zimia Mariten to sickbay."

Mira studied the area around her as she slowly backed up. Zimia would have been a liability here and some had to get medical help for him.
