Being watched

After the incident in the medical Lt Kronnelti picked up his padd and sent a message to Lt Commander Rodale to meet him at his personal quarters as it is important about what is going on with the delegates.

Keying in a reply on her PADD that she would be there in a few minutes. Mira nodded a few Crewmembers as she passed them.

Ensign Zimia Mariten, a very pretty Bolian communications officer ran up a hugged her.

That had been slightly uncomfortable, but the woman didn't let go. Mira stood there almost frozen. What the crap?

Mira's eyes met the 2 other crew members' eyes in the silent beg for help, but both men just chuckled. One had the nerve to wink at her.
With a slight hiccup, Zimia said, " We thought you must be on death’s door."

"Ensign what are you talking about?" Mira asked

"Lt Lance said you were dying," Zimia told her, making Mira tensed even more.

"Wait, what? Why would He say that?" Mira asked. Lance hadn't seen how bad her injuries were if Kronnelti hadn't found her, then K'ner's quick medical attention..... she didn't continue that line of thought.

Mira was still standing there engulfed in the woman's arms, so she awkwardly patted Zimia's back with the hand not holding the PADD. "Now I don't think Lance said the words I was dying because when he talked with me, I was out of sickbay, and the meds the doctor gave me was making my head fuzzy and sleepy. I wasn't dying." At least she hoped she didn't look that bad. "Look at me. Do I look like I am dying?"

Zimia pulled back and shook her head no.

Mira felt relief when Zimia stepped back. "Any luck on finding who's code we are look at?"

"No ma'am but it came from the Star Fleet Investigation Division. That much your contact was able to narrow it down and I followed all the steps to told me."

Mira bit her lip "find out who assigned us this mission."
"Why " Zimia asked

"Because I am going to keelhaul them." Mira told her

"You are so blood thirsty " Zimia with wide eyes.

Mira just shook head laughing as she walked toward Kronnelti room.
she keyed for entry.

Enter Kronnelti said as Mira enters, please have a seat.

This is important and this may sound strange but have you had the feeling we are being watched asked Kronnelti?

Mira nodded slowly "Yeah at first I thought I was ......." she a little shrug as she sat back on the chair. "Crazy. Seeing things that couldn't possibly be moving on the ceiling. it has happened in a few places and on different decks, but after the attack on me, I saw one."

Well, you're not going crazy commander as Kronnelti holds up a modified camera that once he lets go, it automatically sticks to the wall and blends in.

I found this courtesy of Spike, and Im thinking he can sniff out the rest. As kronnelti is saying this, something shifts in the corner of his eyes as he takes out his dagger and chucks it right behind Mira, sticking another to the wall.

Is this what you've been seeing?

"Maybe," Mira said as she reached out to touch the area the camera had re-attached to the wall. "The ones I saw were bigger like ripples on the ceiling. Might sound odd, but it is like someone is crawling around wearing a cloaking field, or they can cloak themselves. I thought in sickbay I counted 4, including the one that hit me. "

She frowned then shook her head. "They must have somehow connected with our computer components on deck 5. it's using too much power. "

"This is bad. Why are they watching us?"

Honestly I believe it has to do with the delegates said Kronnelti. I'm wondering if their blackmailing the captain?

Anyway take this to Vay'toc let him sniff it, you may have a camera in your room too said the Lt. I'm going to deck 5 and since I took out one of their own their going to be hunting me.

Try and warn the Capt and hopefully we remain clear and no unnecessary yellow or red alerts unless provoked.

"Well, yes. It's part of the delegates being on the ship. When we were assigned this mission, I thought our ship wasn't suited to transport delegates. We don't have vip quarters or even guests' quarters. When I questioned it, i was told we are the only ship available. " she frowned, not really buying the answer she was given.

"I am not in my quarters. I had to assign them to a delegate. I was staying in cargobay 1 " she gave a little shrug."It wasn't bad. I love camping, so it was fine..... but after the attack, K'ner suggested bunking in the barracks. That's working out, too."

she took the device. "Be careful on deck 5. We will be remaining on yellow alert. " she started to leave but turned back to him. " Have you gotten any information from the prisoner?"

Their not talking, said kronnelti, and he heads for deck 5 . As he said, I will commander.

Mira shook her head, telling him a klingon to be careful might not have been the best choice of words, but she had been careful in sickbay checking everything before proceeding into the room. Still she was hit from behind. You just can't see what isn't visible, she thought. Tossing the camera up and catching it as she walked. It was time to do a little recon of her own, but she was getting her companion to go with her.

Vaytoc had taken one sniff and then stood up on his back legs, looking up at the air vent. Looking up, Mira nodded, so that's how they were getting around. Well, that and just turning invisible. Her fingertips went to her forehead.

Did she really want to go crawling around in the air vents and Jeffrey's tubes? Yes, she did, but as XO, was that the best use of her time? Maybe not, but if Kronnelti had found cameras out in the open, what are the doing in places they couldn't see with ease. With a roll of her eyes, "Engineering!"

{Deck 5}

Kronnelti steps off the lift onto deck 5 and starts walking around. It's quiet except for the yellow alert going off.

Heading to the main room, the Lt puts his code in...access denied.... this can't be kronnelti questioned. Let's try again & and again, access denied.

Being head of security and can't gain entry really is frustrating, said kronnelti. It seems our guests have changed my access code.

Trying to figure out what to do to gain entry the Lt heard some rustling behind him. As he turns around, nothing is there, so he thinks as he gets struck in the back of his head, knocking him out.

{Engineering}

Walking in with Vaytoc Mira smiled to Lt. jg Keti Korcus. "I have a job for you and your team." She walked over to a wall then gave a little toss. Showing him how these things attached and turned invisible.

"We are being watched. I want them found, deactivate, and away to tell if we get any more."

"I'll need this one to study." Keti told her at her nod he took the device off the wall. He found it very interesting. " so these are part of our power drain and computer increases?"

Mira nodded. "I believe so. I will need a team going into the Jeffrey's tube and any other place they could have left anything. Warn them that the Suliban can change shape and be come invisible. "

Korcus nodded. "Do we know if they can look like someone else?"

Mira had been walking away but turned back to the Korcus. Why hadn't she thought of that? Probably because her mind was being pulled in a hundred different directions, trying to deal with too much at one time. "that I wouldn't doubt."

She blinked and then said, "Send a team to start at deck 5. Kronnelti is there now. "
