Mission:
From the Sidelines
Location: Building
After a 10 minute drop, the elevator suddenly stops, but Collier doesn't feel the stop at all. The doors open, his eyes takes a moment to adjust, takes a few minutes to realize the familiarity of the place, then says, "But.. hip-how is this possible? You're supposed to be dead. How are you here, Victor! How are you still alive! I saw you die! Tell me!"
The hunched man in a lab coat straightens his back, turns around, smirking, with malice in his chemically altered eyes. "How do you think, Subject 1? You tend to know everything the universe sets in motion, laid out before you, events that haven't transpired yet. You tell me!"
"I-"
"That building which housed you, was merely a decoy. That mans death you witnessed, was John, your little "friend", surgically, and genetically altered to appear like me in almost every way. He was the one those pathetic augments killed, not me! What an insult.
The Americans didnt want any contest, not even from a minor country like Romania. They're augments are no match for your species, and my creations. I ended up leaving Earth with a bunch of these Vulcans, only because they were interested in what I was working on. I ended up, how you say, "transforming" the entire crew into mindless beasts with the majority of the pure serum I had left from you. Oh boy, was I impressed. They became mindless beasts, only answering to me, and me alone. In fact, once I landed here, I decided i wanted to create more of the serum, and cause chaos in this universe. A chaos that only I control. So, I began... no. I'll let you find out on your own. I have more important buisness to attend to. I do hope the Americans at least turned you into the killing machine you once were, before coming to my doorstep."
Victor presses a button on his wrist. Goodbye. I hope we see each other again." Walking off, Collier says, "Get back here you-!" Stopping after he hears screeching, and sees some deformed humanoids dropping a few feet from him, and alot more running from all directions, minus the elevator.
Victor cackles and is transported, undated. Then, a few moments later, the entire building begins to violently shudder.
Outside, the ground opens up, and a starship raises out of it. Using the same technology as the building, it is undetectable by any technology known, except eyesight. It enters high warp once it is far enough away from the surface.
In the basement, the creatures attack the second the ground quakes, with Collier shooting back at them with his liquid metal arm cannon. The screeching and loud "phaser" blasts can be heard in the ground floor room.
