Mission: The Q Effect
Location: S’Tokkr Alpha Three
Timeline: Present

"That challenge was voided when a Q brought the three of us back to the ship." Mira called out.

"Can't you ever be silent?" a Q asked her.

Mira raised an eyebrow and smirked. " No, not when it comes to the safety of my crew."

" So if a crewman fails a test, you are to blame." Q asked.

"In the absence of the Captain, I am in charge." Mira stated, not sure she liked where this conversation was going.

"Then you should know the Romulans found the Crew you were to rescue, and your crewmen died."

Mira sucked in air. Her eyes meet Walkers. He looked up set to. "While you kept us here?" She asked angrily.

"Two days ago." The Q told her.

Lifting her head to meet Q eye, she replied, "We are done with your trickery and deceit."

"While a few of us got answers, we wanted some did not." Q told her. "I will be keeping my eye on you. We are not done. "

Mira swallowed hard. There was a slight widening of her eyes at that remark. Then the room flashed, and they were back on the shuttle as if nothing had happened.

"Lt.Commander, we are picking up a signal. It's a distress call"

Mira nodded, "Head towards that signal."

"Walker, how far away is that Romulan ship?" Mira asked.

"I am not picking it up." He told her

Mira took a seat before her legs gave out. She tried to disguise it as the shuttle was landing, but......it felt more like defeat.

"We are picking up lifeforms,"

"This ground is unstable," the pilot told her. "We can't stay for long."

"Is there a more stable area?" Mira asked, not wanting to risk the crew by landing.

He nodded. "The area over there is reading far more stable, but it will make the walk longer."

"Land there, we will walk in," Mira told him

The heat was the first thing Mira noticed as the shuttle door was opened. The smell was there but not as bad as it would be without the respirator. "Move out people. Let's get this done fast."
