“Red Alert, shields up,” the Captain ordered.

Kevin had ignored the Captain’s instructions for the injured to report to sick bay. Although his arm throbbed from the wound received from the targ’s razor quills, until he was relieve of his station at the flight controls, the needs of the ship came first. Especially with an enemy ship bearing down on them.

"How the hell is this supposed to be amusing for you? I thought you Q were omnipotent, and intelligent, but you and your brother are acting like five year olds!"

Surprised by the outburst, Kevin couldn’t help but turning toward Lieutenant Walker and wonder what the hell he was up to.

"I haven't seen any evidence of intelligence from either of you,” Trace continued, “you're like monkeys with guns!"

There was a sudden flash and Trace was replaced by a tabby kitten.

“I think I like you better like this,” the female Q announced.

Kevin turned by to his flight control. Dumb move, old man, he thought.

Commander Rodale engaged the Q as Kevin turned back to the flight controls. The enemy battlecruiser was moving in their direction.

“Should I engage cloak, Captain?” he asked with some urgency.
