Mission: From the Sidelines
Location: ?

I walk up to the doors, and they whoosh open. I dont see anything ahead of me. I peek my head inside the door and take a look in, rotating my head to see both sides. Nothing. Hmm odd. I take a step in, expecting a security alarm. Nothing. "Am I just seeing things after walking in the blistering heat for hours?" I continue foreward to what seems to be a circular door in the middle of the room. As i do, i take another look around. It seems to be getting darker the closer I get to the centre. I stop in front of the door. it's almost pitch black, albeit I can see the outlines of the door, and maybe a button, but that's it. I look behind me and it seems that the rest of the area is the same darkness. Odd. Taking out my tricorder, I hear a rattling noise. I check for any lifesigns, power signals. Nothing except the interference. I press what looks to he a button, and I hear churning, metal against metal, loud screeching. And.... Foomph! The door slowly opens, straining against the metal, and stops after about a four-foot and a half. "Nuts", rolling my eyes I grab one door and grunt for about 2 minutes before the door creaks open a little bit more, I go to the other side and do the same, and continue doing it until there is a body sized hole for me. More rattling. I stick my body in there and squeeze. I stick my hands out, about middle, and push my hands and body against the door, which it then shoomps open. I stagger and regain my balance, dust off my clothes. "There", I say. I turn to finish entering the elevator when a very dim light turns on, with a slight hum to it. Cocking my head, I enter the elevator, and see only one button; Down. "I have a bad feeling about this." The second I press the button, the doors slam shut, and the elevator seemingly drops....
