In her calmest voice. Mira said, " We take our led from the base no one do anything to start the fight. I don't want us being labeled in history as starting this......incident. if DS9 or the Zaj start firing, return fire but..... " Do nothing else was hang in the air.

Mira narrowed her eyes at the screen. A few smaller ships had used top speed to leave the base. Clearly not wanting to be apart of a fight this large.

Oddly, the Zaj hadn't come in with guns blazing that gave her hope. "Their first attacks had been on the Bolis and Andor home world's. They might not have considered themselves the aggressor then."

If the Zaj picked a fight, then they would be given one Mira thought grimly if it could be avoided a cooler head would be needed.

Still not looking away from the screen, she asked. "Find out if everyone made it back to the ship before the base raised its shields. We also need to know how many ships we are dealing with. " she added to the science department.
They would be able to find out more with sensors, and the captain would need that and any other information they could get.

From what she could see, a visual account wasn't possible. The Zaj had continued crossing the wormhole, and it looked to be a dozen ships, maybe.

Mira wasn't sure who said it, but a " not everyone has reported in Lt Commander."

Knowing the procedures of a base as well as she did. She knew they had very little time before the base shields would be in place. It was why she ordered the crew members to be beamed right off the base. That was something a ship had permission to do in an emergency situation like this.

There were 3 people Mira wanted to walk on to the Bridge right now. Chin was not on that list, she thought with a little amusement. still, she had thought she would be in a panic in a situation like this with her mind unable to deal with it. But in truth, she was far more calm than she had a right to be. She oddly felt more like her old self. "Are shields and weapons at full power" At Chin's nod, she relaxed even more. they were ready.
