Mission: Not Where I Belong
Location: U.S.S. Chuck Norris
Timeline: Current

ON: (U.S.S. Chuck Norris - Captain's Ready Room)

"So, now that I've made you sweat for a bit, you should know that the report has come in from the Admiral." Aurther motioned to a PADD and then handed it over to Pibb. "She was very impressed to see what you, Lt. Collier and Beerus were able to do with the resources we had in the creation of the Hazard Team. In that report you will find the general guidelines from the Admiralty, and thanks to our hard work, the majority of Defiant class ships will be staffed with these teams. On a more personal note though, Beerus has been put out of action. The injuries were server enough that he will be off duty, for the next year at least. After much discussion, it was agreed upon that you should take control of the team, if that's what you want."

As Pibb read over the reports, he recalled the incident that injured Beerus. Balen saw to it that his friend got the heroes welcome he had coming to him when he returned to Catain.

"Sir, it would be an honor to head up the team." It was bitter sweat as, it should be Beerus. But, he knew his friend would be happy to hear the news nevertheless.

"Excellent!" Winters proclaimed with excitement. "As you know, I am also going to be moving Lt. Collier into this roster as well. He currently has the most comprehensive resume for weapons training and as the only marine on board, he is suited for the heavy weapons specialist. There is also a medic that was just transfered on, an Ensign Torrel, be sure to meet with her. I haven't even had the chance yet. The rest of the roster is yours to fill as you see fit. Except for Commander G'ginloss, as XO he will be needed for the ship." Winters stood up, which Pibb followed in suit. The two shook hands as Winters handed him a small box with a black pip in it. "I know you'll make the best choices, Lieutenant Commander."

Balen found the little pip in the box. "Thank you sir, I won't let you down," as he placed it on his collar.

The two men nodded at each other, and Pibb took it as a cue to head back to his station and continue his work. With Aurther now by himself alone again, his hands shifted over to the new personnel. Some of the new officers had not yet checked in with him, and if the Chuck Norris was about to get into the thick of it, it would be a good idea to get the feel of each and everyone one of them.
