It was odd how many males wanted a woman's attention when you weren't their commanding officer. Vaytoc was even getting annoyed and started showing his teeth. The braver ones would still try to talk to her, but he did keep most of the males away.

Mira frowned at Zimia's question, "Why did you tell that one no?"

Mira sighed as she ducked under the water and then came back up. "Simply Zimia, I am not interested. Why don't you start telling them you will go out with them? I came here to work out, and anyone coming up to me would get a no. I am not here to pick up guys."

Slipping out of the pool then went to dry off it was time to explore the base.

She smiled at Dianna. "I am ready to explore the base, but first, I am getting some food in the officers' lounge. I am starving. All I have had today is 3 Raktajinos and a protein shake. "

Mira went into the changing room and changed into a brown little dress the same color as her spots, which clung lovingly to all her curves. she pinned her still damp curls up, then headed to the lounge. When the others were done with the gym, they would meet her here or in the Galeria.

It was odd dhe thought. Truly, she was having trouble understanding the human male's mind. Kevin had complained that she got hurt too often she guessed he thought she was reckless and that she did too much on the ship, so when she stepped back from the ship for 'their time', he ran off to the ship.

Klingon men were more straightforward and far less confusing. They told you what they wanted. As the XO Mira was trying to learn the ship inside and out so she was doing things in different departments to learn every inch of that ship.


{Officer’s lounge}

Mira sat down with a sigh. Her hand went to Vaytoc's head as he placed it in her lap her fingers stroking his fur.

The waiter walked to the table, smiling. "What would you like?"

"A man that didn't confused me would be nice." Her eyes widen at her, saying that out loud. "Sorry, I'll have a Raktajino. The beef stew, Altair sandwich, no mustard, and Ktarian chocolate puff. My companion will have a large bowl of Gagh and water. "

A Caitian male set down at her table. "Good morning. You wouldn't know anything about the video feeds, would you?"

Mira raised an eyebrow and smiled. "Sorry, I was never in maintenance."

The Caitian smiled. "I meant why they are all playing Chuck Norris movies."

"Oh, my guess was someone was welcoming the ship to the base. I have never seen a Chuck Norris movie before. He is an impressive man, don't you think."

The Caitian nodded. "So you didn't do this?"

Mira grinned "Wait you think I got up at 4, went to the gym all morning long, and still had time to put videos on of an earth male?" Mira put on her best innocent yet confused face.

"I see" was all he said as her food came.
