Relieved of his immediate obligation to Admiral Desai and free from the ridiculous red suit, Kevin showered in the gymnasium locker room considering his shore leave options. Commander Rodale had left a standing invitation for any of the crew to join her in Hawaii.

Kevin considered accepting her offer as he washed the white dye out of his hair and beard but remembering her on Risa, he abandoned the scheme. No need to torture himself with visions of what could never be.

As he dressed, he pondered where he might go instead. Europe was a half a world away. The Odinskus were originally from Norway. Perhaps he could learn more about the origins of their culture.

Consulting his PADD, Kevin discovered that most of Norway adhered to modern ways except in the very far north. There was, however, a viking living history settlement in Southern Greenland that sounds like what he was looking for.

He arranged to be transported from Star Fleet Headquarters to Nova Scotia where he could catch a civilian craft going to Greenland. All that remained was to exchange his uniform for more appropriate civilian attire but not the damned red suit.
