“Definitely detecting an unknown ship in the Denorios Belt, my Lord!” the Klingon operations officer announced loudly.

“Tell me more, petaQ!” The Klingon commander barked back aggressively. “What is it?”

The operations officer turned nervously back towards his console and scanned as quickly as his fingers could move. “Terran ship! Quite possibly a new design. It appears to have shields and weapons active, my Lord!”

The Klingon commander stepped down from the command chair and cursed, “QI’yaH!” He growled for a moment. “Helmsman! Take us towards that ship, now! Those Terran dogs will be smacked down to where they belong by the power of this ship!”

“At once, my Lord!” The helmsman responded.

The huge warship lurched around 180 degrees in a surprisingly agile manner and shot into high warp.

{USS Chuck Norris, Bridge}

The operations console bleeped loudly, alerting the officer on shift that something was amiss. “Klingon Negh’Var ship heading our way, sir.” The woman reported, “They’ll be within weapons range in less than 15 minutes.”

“Well, I guess that settles it.” Intermeezo spoke aloud looking at Rodale and G’ginloss, “Populate the bridge with non-human officers and crew and do your best to convince those Klingons that we’re on their side. We can’t afford to get into a firefight with a warship of that size knowing that we don’t have backup.” He nodded to the two most senior officers working under him on the ship, entrusting them with the safety and the future of the vessel.” I’ll be in my ready room monitoring the situation from there.”
