Down to the Surface

Mission: From the Sidelines
Location: U.S.S. Chuck Norris, Unknown Planet

"Come on Spice, you're only one reason we haven't left yet." Aurther said, with almost a slight amount of laughter in his voice. He had just helped one of Spice's camera crew with their harnesses. Winters turned around and saw the Captain struggling, in circles as he attempted to latch his buckles together. Finally after a few moments of pleasure watching the whole scene happen, he went over and helped him. A few small adjustments with a snug tug on his shoulder straps Spice jolted back and forth.

"You know, I'm not used to doing this."

"I would never have imagined, now everyone on the transporter pad. Chief..." Winters faced the transporter officer, "Send us down the same co-ordinates that Lt. Collier went to."

"Co-ordinates set it." The chief responded, and with a nod from the Commander the sent the 4 men down to the surface.

(Unknown Planet)

After the blue light of the transporter disappeared, the party looked around. Aurther narrowed his eyes and scanned around the horizon. There was no initial sign of Collier, however, there did appear to be some tracks on the ground leading from where they were off into the distance. Gesturing to them he turned to the Captain Spice and the crew.

"Logic would dictate that he probably went this way, and these tracks are almost barely visible. Therefore we need to make our way quickly if want to stay on his trail. Now our tricorders are not strong enough to pick up life signs from a great distance, so they won't help us now, however maybe in the future." Aurther turned, and started to follow the tracks he saw

"What was that about?" Spice asked his crew.

"I think he was making is internal monologue external." he heard back.

"PERFECT!" he let out a almost happy squeal. "No make sure to get some good B roll as we are walking, and try to be artistic. If I can get an award for this, the sky is the limit!"

Aurther sighed to himself, and kept his hand just about his phaser, unsure of what the planet would hold for them. He also tried to math out how fast he would have to walk or run to get away from Captain Spice and the cameras, but knew it was futile.
