suspicion of ds9

Mission: The Zaj
Location: commanders office
Timeline: Current

While kronnelti was in his room he couldn't help but think about the off putting smell he got when he was in the pod bay on ds9.

So he got up changed his uniform and walked to the commanders office.

When Kronnelti got to the door he chimed that somebody was outside.

( I don't know how to explain what i smelled but she must know) thought the Lt

Looking up from the padd she was reading Mira said "Enter" seeing is was Kronnelti she smiled "What can do for you?"

It's about ds9 and the Xo Kronnelti said, while I was in the pod bay something was off and it's what I smelled.

The scent wasn't human it was different something I have smelled before, I think it was an inside job because what I got was romulan ma'am.

Mira nodded slowly " I had thought it was odd finding her unconscious in an escape pod with a head injury. Klingons have a better ability to smell then humans or even Trills so I believe you. Perhaps our XO saw something or was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. " she sat back thinking about it.

"I also thought it odd that the Zaj had too much information on us. Like someone was helping them." She nodded " My...... Brother Ambassador Lox has had alot of dealings with the Romulans against the federation in the past, only I haven't been able to prove it. He is on the base as well. So if he is here, Romulans could be as well. They could of course make themselves look like any race."

Thinking some more she added "Perhaps we will need to keep our eyes open on vists to the base. next time i go down i'll take Vaytoc with me to help in the hunt. He is good at smelling Romulans." She grinned " he doesn't like them."

She watched Kronnelti for a moment "What is it you want to do? I mean we do need to get a report from the xo about anything she can tell us."

I personally would like the permission from star fleet command to conduct an interview with the Xo and investigate the pod bay further. If that's ok with you ma'am said Kronnelti.

It's a hunch but I think there is more . Like why didn't the Capt have his security team go look for her asked Kronnelti?

"The captain probably didn't know the XO was missing. He was stuck on the Base away from the ship and getting transmissions to him personally wasn't possible. As to permission well " she held up her hands " I am just the chief of operations. It would seem to me as chief of security and the officer who found the xo you would have the authority to continue with an investigation. I mean I would do it if I was in your shoes. But if your worried about stepping on toes at the base just keep it to yourself unless you find something. Then bring it to the Captain. "

Ma'am if somebody got offended of me doing my job they can screw Kronnelti said.

I will head back to ds9 and conduct my investigation. I will be in contact with you and the Capt once I'm done.

Kronnelti then gets up and thanks her for her time then leaves heading to his office
