It had been a few hours since Lt. Kronnelti had beamed to DS9. She truly hoped he had found Lizzy, and she was okay. Then stay as the captain's protection detail. Not that she thought the captain needed a babysitter, but he was their greatest asset. if the Zaj got on the base, they could use Kronnelti.

The tension on the bridge was so thick you could cut it with a blade, and this prolonged battle stance was getting on her last nerve. Her flight or fight reflexes had run the full extent and were now going numb. It's not a good thing in combat situations. if it was happening to her, it was happening to other crew members.

Movement on the screen caught her attention. One of the smaller ships had started to move away from the base, more than likely thinking to make an escape .

The USS Defiant had moved into a better defense position an hour ago. They were all just chess pieces on the board that it would seem someone forgot to play.

Mira kept thinking the wormhole would open up again, and they would all just jump on back home and be done. Wishful thinking she knew.

Just then, there was an explosion to their left. Scanning, it looked like the ship that was trying to leave hit one of the cloaked ships of the Zaj.

Her eyes flicked to the scans on the Zaj. "Thier powering ......" was all she got out when the ship shook from a blast.


Meanwhile, on the Zaj lead ship, Lord Commander growled. "They have females leading on the base! females on the ship" seeing the explosion of one his hidden ships he yelled "fire".
