Further Down the Rabbit Hole

Posted on Tue May 5th, 2020 @ 6:48pm by Commander Aurther Winters

Mission: From the Sidelines
Location: U.S.S. Chuck Norris
Timeline: Current

OFF: Man, there are so many twist and turns right now it's hard to even see straight, lol.

ON: (U.S.S. Chuck Norris - Bridge)

Aurther stood on the bridge, motionless and staring ahead at the view screen. His mind was thinking at a kilometre a minute. Off to the side of him he could see Captain Spice directing his camera crew to run some B-roll, background filler to split in when they needed. The helm was now empty, he noted down at his console that there was a report coming in from sickbay detailing that Ensign Wyatt had been sedated and was speaking in, what the doctor noted, nonsense. He took a small and deep breath in to try and set himself for what was next.

"Commander?" a voice called out. Aurther turned to face Captain Spice, walking towards him.

"Yes Captain?"

"Can you maybe just talk out loud with what you're thinking. I mean we don't know what you're thinking about and honestly it's kind of boring."

Aurther winced at the man and immediately just turned and left the bridge saying not a word and made his way down to sickbay.

"What's going on doctor?" Winters questioned, standing over top of Ensign Wyatt.

"Well... he seems to be in some kind of psychotic breakdown. I think he left the bridge and ended up in the transporter room. He never acknowledged the chief, but collapsed on the ground, muttering something about Captain Picard and Sisko and others. Now I say some kind of breakdown because after doing some tests, his front cortex is hyper-active and sensitive right now. It's almost like he's receiving information, I would dare say telepathically." stated Lt. Ramsey.

"The hell? From where?" Aurther questioned.

"Well it would appear all of this started once we were in orbit around this planet. I think there might be more answers down there than up here."

Aurther nodded and left sickbay, trying to decide where to focus his energy into next.
