Daniel had been present on the bridge when the ship was hit by the double blow of electromagnetic pulses. Despite effectively crippling the ship, Commander G’ginloss had charismatically taken charge of the situation, giving each member of the senior staff a task to accomplish.

Despite not being specifically ordered to do so, Daniel had returned to sickbay to prepare for any potential casualties. With main power offline he had needed to use the Jeffrey’s tubes to move around the ship. Thankfully sickbay was located on deck two and it hadn’t taken him long to get there.

“Where is Doctor McCloud?” Daniel asked, entering the compact sickbay.

The Bolian nurse shrugged her shoulders, “To be blunt sir, who knows. I haven’t seen him for days.”

Daniel buried his frustration for now. “Very well. Let’s get sickbay prepped for any eventuality.” He moved towards the bio-function monitors to ensure they were all fully charged. “If we need an extra pair of hands we could always activate the EMH. It should still work with the backups in sickbay, even with main power offline.”

The Bolian nurse nodded. “Aye sir.” She moved toward a row of instruments on the worktops, “Cellular and dermal regenerators ready to go sir, as are the neural stimulators and biophasers.”

“Excellent.” Hauser replied, snapping closed a medical tricorder. “I think we’re ready for anything.”
