"Okay," Winters sighed as he stood and completed the Picard maneuver. He made his way to the turbo lift and entered. "Bridge."

"You're already on the bridge, Commander Winters," said the computer.

"Yes sir", Douglas replied, pressing random buttons. He had prepared the basic functions with preset, easy to read buttons when he started his shift. After the commander left he mumbles, "Its not like anybody showed how to run this rust bucket, and use this stations functions." Remembering that they used to be much simpler, as he would turn a dial, or pressed the few coloured buttons on the console that had the names of each function.

Captain Spice looked straight at Winters. "And... action!"

With all the cameras on him, Winters started his second strut toward the command chair. What was his line? Suddenly, he couldn't remember. Oh yeah! "Sta... stat... status report?" his voice cracked.

Before he could get a response, the ship lurched left toward a new course, sending Winters and the film crew clear across the bridge.

"Maximum velocity in 5, 4, 3--" the computer added.
