The Comm panel chirps, "Captain, you are being hailed by HQ on a secure channel."

"Thank you, I'll take it in my ready room. Commander Winters, you have the Conn. Director, keep the camera rolling I won't be long."

Captain Grover vonMcCormick crosses to the turbodoor marked Ready Room and it effortlessly slides open. He steps inside, sets himself in his comfy desk chair and clicks on the comm screen sat his desk. A tired yet familiar face fills the screen.

"Admiral, to what do I owe this honour?"

"Has your new recruit arrival come aboard yet?"

"The camera crew is safely ensconsed and have already begun filming."

"I'm not talking about them, Grover."

"Then who?"

The admiral sighs and punches some details on his computer, Captain vonMcCormick receives a data packet on his personal tablet. He skims the text and frowns.

"Admiral, I don't understand, our new security chief is on a mission on Orion and won't be able to join us for a few months I thought..."

"Change of plans, the mission was aborted. She joined your ship at Starbase 10."

"She's already onboard... OK then, I guess I should go and meet her." Captain vonMcCormick sighs and gets up from his chair.

"Don't screw this series up, we need the revenue Grover. Ensign Unova will help with that."

"We'll do our best Admiral, vonMcCormick out."

The viewscreen goes black.

The Captain slows before gesturing the doors to open.

"This is going to be a LOOOONG mission."
