Mission: The Game is Afoot
Location: Starbase 10
Timeline: Unknown?

ON:

Tessa continued to run through the crowded spaces of Starbase 10, with Species 8472 in hot-pursuit. She hoped that the more she shouted and made a fuss, the more the two intruders would want to chase her to shut her the hell up, leaving the rest of the station safe.

Suddenly an unknown officer stepped into the path of Riley. He raised a hand and pointed at the woman, shouting, “ARREST YOURSELF! ARREST YOURSELF! We have a full confession!”

Tessa shoved the man out of the way violently, sending him sprawling to the deck and out of harms way. “Not now Lieutenant McCoyle!” Lenny ‘Booze’ McCoyle was the resident drunk on the station. He would constantly pop up at the most ridiculous moments demanding that people be arrested and that they had signed confessions. And to think this man was a practicing physician! Its surprising he hadn’t killed anyone because of how badly his hands shook due to the drink. Klingon Chancellors for example, would be shit out of luck if he needed to treat their phaser wounds.

Tess kept running down the corridors, turning now and again to fire her phaser. She would deliberately miss, but made it look convincing enough that she was trying to hit them. It was all part of the plan. Just past her eye-line she saw Winters pounding up behind them carrying a phaser rifle.

Turning a corner, she ran into one of the empty docking station airlocks and hid behind the door. The Yoshimeyer and Anderson doppelgängers followed the woman in. Moving quickly, she darted back out into the corridor and locked the door behind her, trapping the two intruders in the docking station airlock.

Just as Winters arrived on the scene, Riley initiated the launch procedures, sucking the two members of species 8472 into the big black. She struggled to catch her breath as she spoke, “I... saw that in a movie once... always want to try it...” She took a few deep breaths to compose herself, “I think it was a John Wayne movie.”
