Mission: The Game is Afoot
Location: Airlock SB10
Timeline: Current

Note for later deletion: at airlock G'ginloss, winters, ensign Riley, comm Hudson

"They came in awfully smooth for a Ferengi ship, almost too smooth. They are not responding to hails, and there has been silence since they have docked. Most unusual. Commander Hudson, you did say the docking procedure has completed?" Lt G'ginloss asked.

"Yes Lt, they have docked and the clamps have the ship, why?"

"I intend to get us onto that ship of theirs, lives may be at stake." Came the reply from the Lt as he began the opening procedure of the doors. "Stuck? Why are they not releasing?" Kneeling down as he removes a panel that would control the doors, as he messes with a few of the controls the doors open up with little tampering.

Winter went over to the locker next to the door he opened it, emerging with a tricorder in his hand. He stood behind Lt. G'ginloss. As the engineer was working his magic, Aurther scanned the airlock system. "Try to control the secondary resonators with a avidyne analyzer program to bypass the main system." Winters suggested, only to look down and see that G'ginloss was already performing that action. Winters smiled a little bit to himself. (If we ever get back to our own ship again, G'ginloss is going to make sure she runs in perfect form.)
The airlock gave out a audible positive tone as the doors opened. However the doors to the Ferengi ship were still closed. The uneasy feeling that had been hanging in the air was now flowing over the 4 officers. Everyone looked over at Winters as he went back to the locker, spinning with 2 phasers in each hand, he tossed them to each other officer. Riley looked a little concerned as he made his way back to the formation and holstered the phaser to his belt. "I've been through enough of these to know that this is just a precaution.". Aurther was unsure who he was trying to convince really, the others or himself as the group made their way to the door of the Ferengi ship. Winters took the lead, he was the highest ranking officer and always knew it set the best example. His hand hovered over the console to open to door to the Ferengi ship before checking with everyone and nodding his head. Then with a quick flick of his finger, the door opened. A woosh of air flows through the airlock as the door of the ship is opened. The four saw the lights flickering and what looks to be dead bodies strewn about the ship.

=/\= Lt G'ginloss to station medical, medical Emergency on the Ferengi ship. =/\=

=/\= Medical teams en route, eta 30 seconds. =/\=

Just then the ships door to the other Ferengi ship opens almost of its own accord. A body slumps out, crashing on the floor. Riley and Hudson both drew their phasers and trained it on the man, the mans eyes grew wide as his mouth opened, gasping for breath it was easy to see he was struggling to stay conscious.

"Betrayal, ambushed, erased, danger Ech'am." The Ferangi managed to get out before slumping on the ground as the familiar sound of the transporter registers to those there as the medical team arrives.

"You, this man is still alive, take him directly to the infirmary, he must live."

Aurther turned around to Hudson, with fire in his eyes, "You get me 10 security teams down here now. I want both of this ship investigated and cleared right now."

Hudson was taken aback at the tone of voice being directed at him. Until this point, the crew of the Chuck Norris were seen as more of a burden than help, but within these few moments it had become obvious they were well trained officers. "What? You're not in command here."

"I'm taking command of this situation. I want those teams and I wanted them 2 minutes ago."

Hudson, realizing that this was not a situation he was going to win relented, tapping him Comm badge. "Hudson to security, send 10 teams down to deck 42, airlocks 3 and 4."

"Yes sir, teams on route, they will be there in 2 minutes."

"Sir, I'm not sure that will be entirely possible but if we work together then we just might be able to find out what just happened." G'ginloss added, with the agreement of the parties.

=/\= Commander Hudson to Admiral Yoshimeyer, there's been a security breach on the Ferengi ships. One survivor so far, all others dead. Suggest we prevent any ships from departing, coming, and a lock down of any non essential personnel. Also permission to assign a security detail to the survivor. =/\=

=/\= Granted =/\= it was the only word that came back across the comm line that could be heard by the other three. Winters ears perked a little, it was interesting that the Admiral didn't ask any more questions. In his position he would have, but there was not to much time to dwell on that now as his attention had to put forth to the new question of what happened to the crews of these ships.

"Winters, I'm having trouble finding those logs, it is as if they are hidden, if you would continue to peruse the logs I have a hunch that I need to solve. I think something was sabotaged but I don't know what yet." Walking off towards one of the bulk heads he removes a panel and begins picking around in the cabling using his diagnostic tools.

"Lt. G'Ginloss, I leave this in your capable hands. I am going to go the bridge, and see what I can find out there."

A few hours later

"Sir, bad news. It looks like everything from the time these ships launched from Tyrolean to here has been meticulously erased, though the one thing I have been able to uncover was the computer virus that was used. It's called the lumberjack. It was built to overload the computer systems in order to corrupt the systems records and debilitate the ship from external attacks. The only other piece I have managed to find so far is that virus originated from this Starbase." G'ginloss sounded slightly frustrated and concerned.

"The Bridge wasn't much better. I wasn't able to get much information from there. I'm hoping that we get some information from the scans of the deceased personnel. However between the two of us, I think we need to make sure we explore all options." Winters gave a small look towards G'ginloss and both men nodded at each other.
