Ths last straw

A loud noise was heard echoing through the ship. Considering the Norris was only four or five decks, the echo was considerable.

*Thud! The ship made a loud noise, yet again.*

Pibb and Ryoko looked at each other with surprise.

"What was hell was that?" Pibb asked?

"I don't know" Wyatt answered.

A few moments later a young Security Officer stubbled onto the bridge holding a nasty wound. He was bleeding and had burn marks upon him. Balen rushed to side. Pibb was now trying to awake the young man after Ryoko attempted to give him first aid. It turns out he was shot by a projectile weapon of sorts.

"We need to stay put Wyatt, whoever shot this man may not be far off," Pibb demanded.

"Agreed," as Wyatt began to search for a phaser himself.

=5 minutes later=

Suddenly, the door to the bridge was blown open. Giving way to a mysterious man with some sort of cartridge feed weapon in his right hand. The man appeared to had no face or rather what face there was was covered. He was wearing a blue bandanna, black goggles and a cowboy hat pulled over his head.

"Yer's gonna pay fer what yers done Pibb" he said loudly.

Pibb could sense an alien presence about him. Suddenly he pulled out the weapon and aimed it at Pibb. He began to pull the trigger. Two rounds went off. The first directed towards Pibb.

"NOOOOO," proclaimed Wyatt, as he pushed Pibb to the ground as the bullet went through Wyatt's chest.

The second round ricocheted off the bulkhead and struck Ensign Anderson in the head. As he fell lifeless to the console. It was then, Chief Ryoko fired his phaser and struck the mysterious man point blank. The blast from the phaser sent the man flying back off the bridge and into the corridor outside.
As Both Pibb and Ryoko rushed to apprehend the man. They noticed his features slowly morphed into a member of Species 8472.

"Is this for real?" As they were now joined by three other Security Officer's.

=2 minutes later=

Pibb had decided to inform the Captain as his colleague had just taken a bullet for him. But, not before calling away a medical emergency to the bridge for Wyatt and Anderson.

Ryoko called to Balen, "I think you need to see this."

"What is it Chief?" as Pibb walked over to him.

"Look at this Balen. When did Anderson ever have green blood? *As Ryoko scanned him more closely with a Tricorder on a different setting.* "This man is a Romulan."

"Thing have defiantly taken a turn for the worst Chief."
