"what did they call this again?" Mira asked with some confusion on her face.

Rodriguez laughed, "it's a hot dog. wait you will eat gagh but you're frowning at an hot dog?"

she raised a delicate eyebrow "Gagh has never been someone's pet."

Chin choked on his food, then he recovered he said " it's not made of dog. it's different parts of meat."

nodding slowly Mira tossed the hot dog to Vaytoc who chopped it willingly. while Mira picked up a dounut.

Rodriguez asked, "So do you think the captain knew about it? "

Mira's shoulder raised then dropped. " normally Captains know everything that happens on thier base or ship. But really that was all a test. You can't hold it against any commanding office if your skills are being tested." Mira knew there was another test coming up and the xo had every right to see that she was working with. in fact that was happening tomorrow.

[next day Bridge]

Commander Dersch stood on the Bridge and Walked to Rodales Station. "Prepare the Sim, The Issue will be that at least 25 Armed Intruders are here, and they have some sort of Gear that takes Phaser fire and uses it as a shield, They are to find a way to use that or something else against them, and Their main mission to protect the ship and crew"


She gave a nod and her fingers danced on the console starting the program. Mira stepped back and watched making note of the responses. She bit her lip to keep from smiling. Everyone was responding very well. She keeped her eyes off Dersch knowing her expression would give her away. Every message that came over the comm was sent to her and she made adjustment to the program as needed.

The fight on the bridge had been a surprise but she stayed at her post letting things unfold as the XO wanted. In the end she heard.

Chin looked over at her with a frown, " did you know?"
Mira nodded slowly she had in fact been apart of this one. " From what I can see every one passed the Xo test and there shouldn't be anymore need to test but if our times are off..... well" she gave a little shrug. She couldn't promise them anything.
