Change can be good

sitting on the floor and reaching into the trunk she pulled out a photo it had been placed in a frame that could be put on her desk. honestly she didn't recognize the frame there was a note attached to it. very old fashion she thought her eyes teared up as she read it.

" My dearest Friend. At the time I write this, I don't know where you have gone but it's a place I can't follow or find you at. I have tried. I miss you more then you will ever know. In case fleetcomand ever finds you I added this to your belongings I packed. I have a duplicate for myself. When you look at it Remember the good times because that is what I have been doing. V."

it was a group photograph of Kolar, Vaytoc, V and herself on DS10. Closing her eyes, she let her tears fall. Vaytoc's warm head bummed into her shoulder, and she placed her hand on his head as she said out loud " I'll be OK. Give me a moment big guy. I have learned that grief is really all your unspent love that gathers up in the corners of your eyes , the lump in your throat and the hollow part of your chest. Grief is the love you feel but has no place to go anymore. " she nodded." it time to remember all the good things. only the good things. " her fingers sunk in to Vaytoc's soft fur. "I'll be alright. " laying her head on his she wrapped her arms around Vaytoc. He was more then a pet to her. He was her companion. She knew without him she would have died many times or just given up.

Hearing a ding at her door she frowned, getting up she wiped what was left of her tears off her face and said "enter" .

Chin and Rodriguez walked in with smiles they had food in there hands. alot of food from the looks of it. " Greetings, what's up?" she asked.
Chin spoke up, " we didn't have any cash back on earth. "
Rodriguez nugged him "holodeck"

nodding, Chin added "yea but the smells of the food was driving us crazy so we got everything we could remember but couldn't have then, and we thought since you were there .... they to you might like to join us. if that's ok" he looked a little unsure of himself.

A slow smile came to her lips. good times. didn't she just say she would fill her life with good times?
"that sounds interesting." she picked up her tablet and a few things she has placed on her small low coffee table and nodded. " that did you bring? "
