Mission ready

K'ner leaned over to the side of his small desk since the audio pickup was squatchy. "Computer, can I have my personal log please."

"Well, aren't you just the cutest thang."

She ignored the uppity AI and started her entry. "Personal Log... we're getting ready for another mission. The refit went well and we're all stocked up. Hazard squad is prepped and ready to respond. Except for the training run we did a couple days ago, it's been a while since I've blown anything up!! Not that that is unusual, I'm usually on EOD if I'm not patching someone up in the field, but it is fun when it's the other way around."

K'ner paused, still wondering why the squad had to keep these personal logs. As far as she knew, their head-doctor had never reviewed even one...

"We should have some new personnel coming aboard, so gotta keep an eye out for the lost stragglers until they get comfortable with the layout. This ship isn't so complicated but newbies do tend to overthink things."

"Well, time to head out for the briefing... no announcement yet, but I'm sure it'll broadcast soon and I'll be close by for a quicker response. If it doesn't for a while, the boss is probably already aware and thinking about briefing the squad anyway. Best get a jump on that..."

"Close personal log and secure."
