The Tracks End Here

Mission: From the Sidelines
Location: Unknown Planet
Timeline: Current

ON: (Unknown Planet)

Aurther's legs started to ache slightly. They had been walking through the desert for hours now, tracking Lt. Collier was turning out a little more challenging then he was expecting. He attributed that to Starfleet training, however this man seems like he went above and beyond in learning. Reaching down to his side he pulled his water flask and slowly took the top off. As he did, his eyes narrowed and scanned the horizon. Collier was definitely on the move, and was double timing it. A couple of quick sips, a swoosh of the water around his mouth and a small gulp was all he was allowing himself, trying to keep his consumption under control. As he re-holstered the flask back in his belt he looked back to check on the rest of the team. To his surprise the two cameramen were keeping up pace and looked like they were doing just as well as him. Probably had something to do with the having to carry all the gear constantly. However Captain Spice, to put it very bluntly, was struggling hard. Obvious that his years of working behind the camera had finally caught up to him.

"Are we there yet?" Spice manged to muster out in between his gasps for air.

"Do you see Lt. Collier" Aurther gestured to the vast empty space around them. Spice realized that any answer he gave was more likely than not to get him ridiculed, so he stayed silent and just shook his head. Aurther smiled back and stood examining the ground. The tracks they had been following were now gone, wiped away. "Odd..."

"What is it Commander?" Spice asked chugging back his liquid.

"It would appear that the Lt. is either away we are following him, or at least is trying to make sure no one can follow him."

"Well what do we do now?"

"I'm thinking..."
