Mission:
Trial by Fire
Location: U.S.S. Chuck Norris
Timeline: Current
OFF: I am loving the story I am seeing, but let's get things starting to move, clearly to where the real fun will begin.
ON: (U.S.S. Chuck Norris - Bridge)
The doors to the Captain's ready room opened, Winters looked down at the PADD in his one hand, as the cup of hot chocolate was in his other. Soon the mug made it's way to his lips and he took a long drink. It had been some time since he replicated the delicious drink, and it had gotten colder, but still warm enough to be right in the sweet spot. A few more sips and the drink was empty. He handed it off to a Yeoman as he took his rightful seat back in the command chair. Instinctively he crossed his legs and finished reading PADD. It was the report that Lt. Wyatt had gotten in, and it seems that Starfleet anticipated him trying to get his Intelligence officer to gather, well, intelligence. To throw him off the trail, they had encoded some 20th century movie about dinosaurs and humans trying to coexist. However due to some, mailman was it, the whole thing went down quicker then Aurther's pile of Dabo chips at Quarks. It would appear that the games were already in play long before the games were actually to begin. Placing the PADD down to his side he took a slight deep breath and looked around the bridge. The crew were at their stations, working efficiently, which brought a slight smile to his face.
Lt. Collier was at the helm as he was before, Lt. Pibb at tactical, Lt. Wyatt manning the science station and Lt. G'ginloss holding down things in engineering. There was a last minute transfer of a new nurse, a Petty Officer Serine.
"Mr. Collier, please take us out, 1/4 impulse."
"Aye sir, 1/4 impulse, taking us out, we should clear space dock in 1 minute 12 seconds."
"Very good, once we clear the station, set course 034 mark 331, warp 6."
"Course plotted and locked in, will execute once we are clear."
Winters tapped his comm panel, "Bridge to Engineering, I hope you have everything ready down there."
=/\= We are ready sir, all systems running with optimal parameters=/\=
"Acknowledged."
The Chuck Norris slowly departed Starbase 10, and took a slight right and hovered for a moment before the blue of engines brightened for a moment and the ship disappeared into the darkness of space.
