Mission:
The Game is Afoot
Location: Starbase 10
Timeline: Current
OFF: A little post on the road
ON: (Starbase 10 - Deck 42)
The sight was grim to watch. Dozens of pairs of medical staff from the Starbase just kept coming out one at a time with stretchers. Each one had a body on top, tha fully covered with a blanket, the Starfleet insignia displayed over top. They weren't Federation officers, but they were still crewman, the Ferengi crew, but it was the life that few chose. A life spend pursuing the same goals. It was the least Starfleet could do before they had to contact the Ferengi government. To spend your life, out exploring the stars. Finding adventure, science, even a sense of belonging. Unfortunately some will also meet their end this way too. The sight on the Ferengi ships was a hard one to process. Most of the crew almost looked like they were ripped apart, or infected with some kind of bio-agent. However no trace could be found in the life support. Although the logs of the ships were gone, their sacrifice would still yield answers. These were the thoughts going through Commander Winters head.
"What's the final counter Commander?" Lt. Cmdr. Hudson asked, Aurther had his head up watching. A PADD in his hand, however he didn't need it to answer.
"487. 487 dead, 1 survivor down in sickbay in critical condition."
"Are you alright Commander?"
"Yes." Winters blinked a few times before turning to meet the man. "It's just always a tragedy when you have a lose of life this high."
Hudson thought for a moment, "I've never had to deal with this level before."
"I have..." Winters almost seems to trail off, "And I fear it won't be the last time either." Just then out of the corner of his eye, he say G'ginloss walking towards him in a fast pace.
"Commander, do you have a moment?" Lieutenant G'ginloss asked.
