A Meeting at the Airlock?

Posted on Mon Aug 24th, 2020 @ 3:08am by Captain Aurther Winters

Mission: The Game is Afoot
Location: Starbase 10
Timeline: Current

OFF: Well, there plot is getting even more interesting

ON: (Starbase 10 - deck 42)

The doors to the turbolift opened as the "Welcome Wagon" made their way down to meet the incoming Ferengis. This deck was for work only. No shops, no holodecks, no recreation of any kind. Just Starfleet personnel moving about and doing their work and business. The four officers walked and looked out the window that faced into the Starbase just to see the large Ferengi D'Koras come to a rest, and have the the docking clamps hold them in place.

"Well their necks aren't extended, so I guess that is a sign that they come in peace." Commander Hudson noted as they continued to make their way to the airlock.

"Did they happened to say why they were here by chance?" Commander Winters questioned.

"Well..." Hudson looked over at the PADD in his hand, he skimmed over for a moment or two before making a slightly weird face. "Business... and pleasure?". He sounded unsure of himself.

"I thought you had to pick one or the other." Ensign Riley chuckled.

"You're just full of jokes today aren't you Ensign Chuckles?" Hudson snapped back, apparently well versed in the ensigns humour. It was hard to put a full finger on it, but there appeared to be at least a slight amount of tension between the two.

"Something seems a little off of those ships." Lieutenant G'ginloss noted. "I mean I know I haven't seen too many of these ships in person, but there is just something that just look right."

"What are you talking about?" Hudson examined the ships from a distance, his eyes narrows trying to see whatever the young Klingon saw.

"No I see it too, you're right Lt, there is something a little off." Winters agreed with G'ginloss. The two of them gave each other a little look of agreement. The two were both from engineering background and were able to see things that the Chief of Security could not.

"Oh yea... you guys are right. It doesn't look right at all." Riley added after a few awkward moments of silence. The three men looked back at her, unsure to believe her or not. The tone of her voice was a little hard to pick up on.
After what seemed like the longest walk they had been on in at least a few days, the 4 officer were no standing in front of the main airlock. Winters and Hudson stood next to each other, with G'ginloss and Riley flanking them. They waited, and waited, until Aurther let out a sigh.

"Does it normally take this long?" Winters asked.

"No..." Hudson looked down again as his PADD, "They are taking much longer than expected." He punched in few button on the control panel and a negative sound echoed through the corridor. "Locked?"

"Weird." Winters said looking back at the G'ginloss

"Agreed." The Klingon remarked.

"Well... this is unsettling." Riley's comments set the tone.

OFF: So just incase anyone has missed it, here are some keys facts to remember.

Personnel:
Starbase 10: Winters, G'ginloss, Riley, Anderson (Now a NPC)

Chuck Norris: Pibb, Collier (Still in sickbay with Kerkorian Flu for now), Wyatt, vonMcCormick

Possible Story Lines to work with:

Admiral Yoshimeyer seems a little shady, maybe Anderson knows something about this?

The Two Ferengi ships just docked, and are not responding to hails.

Lt. Collier needs penicillin to combat his flu, or he may perish!

The Chuck Norris is still on the run from the Sutherland and the Thunderchild

The crew is still trying to figure out what the Captain has been charged with, and whether or not he is actually innocent.

Any other side plots you may want to throw in, have fun, that's and order :P
