Strengths & Weaknesses Lyra is a hard worker, a dedicated friend, and an unstoppable force when she puts her mind to something. She gets the job done, and she gets it done well.
Her drive and determination can often cause her to forget to enjoy life like she needs to.
Ambitions Up until her admission to Starfleet Academy, her main ambition in life had always been to become a Starfleet medical officer. Once that ambition had been achieved, Lyra wanted to become a Chief Medical Officer of a starship.
Hobbies & Interests Lyra typically likes to practice martial arts in her spare time, specifically ‘Wing Chung’, a concept-based traditional Southern Chinese Kung fu style and a form of self-defense, that requires quick arm movements and strong legs to defeat opponents. She sees this as an opportunity to not only train her body, but also her mind and spirit.

Personal History Lyra Blake was born in New Chicago, Luna in 2353 to Edward and Tanya Blake. Her parents owned one of the most popular pizzeria restaurants in the city, and they opened a second restaurant in San Francisco, Earth soon after Lyra was born.

Lyra grew up in the shadow of Starfleet Command and Starfleet Academy. This had a massive impact on her development, especially as a teenager. She would spend hours after school watching the shuttles and come and go. Knowing she wanted a career in Starfleet, she volunteered at the local shuttle maintenance yard for some work experience. The work experience, along with strong grades from high school, meant she was able to successfully apply to San Francisco Medical School when she turned 18 years old, determined to work on starships as a medic.

Following five years of medical training, she successfully earned a place at Starfleet Academy. Her time at the Academy was not as straight forward as her medical training. She failed two essays in her second year and her final essay of the third year. Thankfully she was given the opportunity to retake them, and passed them all with distinction.

Following her graduation, Lyra gained a position onboard the USS Wyoming as its Relief Medical Officer. She worked hard during her time on the intrepid-class starship, and gained a wealth of knowledge about the inner workings of a starship and its crews. Despite her official title, Lyra was inevitably dragged into all manner of missions and work assignments.

Lyra stepped up to the challenge during her time on the Wyoming. She had impressed her department head throughout the 12 months that she was onboard. Lyra had proved herself to be a more than capable officer with a bright career ahead of her.

She applied for a posting onboard the USS Starburst as its assistant Chief Medical Officer. Given her invaluable training, she was successful in her application.

When an opportunity to join the USS Chuck Norris presented itself to her two years later, she knew that she would need to move ships if she was to progress in position. However, she had found it to be a tough decision to make. She had made friends while onboard the Starburst, some that she had come to consider as family. In the end, Lyra transferred for the good of her career.
